What does everyone think about SYC

Full time starter also. Walked away. There are much better coaches out there and player development too. See how much top team players have progressed in last few years and you'll see minimal progress. The proof is in the pudding.

I can’t find my old yellow windbreaker that had so many patches you couldn’t see the yellow. My mom still has my sister’s.

DC is rising U11 and don't want to continue to hear the same story that never materializes? Is the development better at smaller clubs nearby? Not sure if we should stay or look elsewhere.

This club is a joke and we walked away

I have an older child and every year I only see 2-3 kids moving to the top team. I'm sure every club is the same.

Do you think your kid has what it takes?

I haven't seen top coaches "steal" a player in the middle of a season.

If you're talking about opportunities to play with the top team? Rarely, they already have their own bench warmers.

Full-time starter. Walked away from SYC’s MLS Next because (get ready) the club is a joke

Lucky you. My husband (and older kid) wants to walk away every year, unfortunately there is nothing better in a 15mile radius. I also can't stand the Arlington or Loudoun parents (in and out of DCUM, lol)

I would say their core top team is pretty much set and I have seen them move two or three players around.

The 2010 Samba boy team, well I think they have their own thread. The coach plays dirty. Those boys play up a year and will bring guest players from 2011 to tournaments to win.

Some SYC troll is in an Arlington board (probably paid). So I thought I’d relay something I saw in a discussion.

SYC 2006 boys 1st team: GotSoccer #33
SYC 2006 boys 2nd team: GotSoccer #17

Keep trolling, boyz. We’ll keep up.

Anybody else experiencing a lack of responses regarding the girls program? We’ve emailed our coach numerous times regarding this season and it’s ignored.

The one that’s falling apart. Not specific enough, I know.

Honestly, start looking at options. Tell them not to register your player.

DD is starting to think about college and we are absolutely out of opportunities here (and we are blue team).
