Except the video proof watched in total shows Phillips is a liar and libs are wrong. The comments on the CNN interview of Phillips bear this out. He was at first a sympathetic man and I felt great disappointment that as a Vet, a Native American, and as a widower he was treated so horribly.

But the full video is extremely informative and the man is a sham, at least in this situation.

It’s a shame because I like people like him. He’s a fighter and a survivor and I respect Vet, especially Vietnam Vets as they received poor treatment.

However he’s not the victim in this incident.

I don't think that is a fair assessment. He said from the beginning that he walked between the two groups in order to calm them down. That is supported by the video. What is not supported by video is his claim to have been verbally abused. However, that is also not refuted by any of the videos that I've seen. The fact is, in the videos I've seen of the time that he was surrounded, it is not possible to tell what the teens are saying. Maybe they are wishing him a long and happy life or maybe they are insulting him. It's just not possible to tell.
