Saw a U12 game with full-sized goals. That was entertaining. |
wow even at U13 those goals can be too big for keepers who haven't started to grow. |
just checked out the links and they are not even being competitive. That sucks for parents who were sold that this was the place to be. Especially when 06s are only playing 2 home games at Evergreen and it isn't even close to where they practice in Fairfax. |
Wolf Pack are definitely the best NCSL team in the boys U17 age group |
dang that division is full of yellows and reds. Wolf Pack does seem to be the stand out of the division. What style do they play? |
They play a very proactive possession style, using the wings to create penetration and using passing triangles to move the ball through tight spaces, great first touch which helps them maximize space. However they can also get physical and they defend very well. Strong on the tackle, and confident when going for headers and 50/50 balls. They have a few games up on YouTube, that team is a joy to watch. |
I'm surprised the 06s aren't that competitive with all the FT DA Arlington kids playing for them. |
FT DA players from Arlington are playing with them? Is that what you are saying? Who? |
Is that breaking the rules of DA? I thought you can't play outside of your DA team? BUSTED? |
Question. The Bethesda Premier Cup is coming up in a few weeks for the Boys. Bethesda has several teams entered in the U9, a Pre-Academy I, Pre-Academy II, and then Bethesda Blue, Green, Orange and White. I thought Bethesda Blue was the top team, who are their Pre-Academy teams? |
They changed their naming structure...it's now: 1) PA 1 2) PA 2 3) Blue 4) Green 5) Orange 6) White Might have gotten the last two backwards...not sure. |
So is PA1 the old 'blue' teams? A lot of the pre-DA clubs have just pushed their color scheme down and the former A teams no longer have color names. |
Seems to be the trend...the teams with DA connections trying to lure the younger kids into the program by illustrating a clear path to the DA. |
The trend seems to be selling the 2nd and 3rd teams that theirs kids moved up to the first team when in reality the first team is now the pre-DA team. False sense of upward movement that keeps them paying. |
No one cares. Those rules don't mean anything. Players can do whatever they want as long as they don't miss their DA training and games. |
