Not sure of the differences, unless you are referring to the WPPSI-III vs. the WISC III. The WPPSI-III is usually administered to younger children (ages 2 - 6). The WISC-IV is usually administered to age 6 and up. You might want to check Hoagies page on testing: http://www.hoagiesgifted.org/tests.htm Thank you! |

Thanks! |
Thanks to the PP that provided this information last year. I asked the AART at our school if we could see a copy of what was submitted and was provided my own copy, including the GBRS with commentary. I think it is helpful to have the Commentary in particular, as the detailed descriptions were things I did not know about at all. It is very illuminating! |
| Is anyone, anywhere questioning the use of the cogat7? It seems wrong to me to label kids gifted or not gifted as early as kindergarten. What happened to the culture of the growth mindset? It's disturbing to see publications of how to 'prepare' children to take the cogat7. |
Did you even read the thread? It is given in 2nd grade. |

year 2013:
NNAT 135 (99th%), FAT: v 79%, q 97%, nv 97%, composite 96% Report cards: reading and writing 2s, math and science 3 and 4s, else 3s, PE all 4s. Waiting |
I'd ask to see the GBRS once the file is submitted to the central committee because of the 2s. |
| What is the Cutoff Forum ??? |
The AARP did several sessions with them and I saw the math and reading worksheets and they were primarily thinking skills. They also did a puzzle session to test the logical thinking? I don't want to ask for GBRS, but will book the WISC if not accepted. It is easier to have a WISC score for a kid like my DC... |
This aged well…😄 |
