THE AMOUNT OF SUB JOBS TODAY IS INSANE.

People respond to incentives, who knew!

What happens to the unfiled elementary school openings?

And FCPS made sure to wish everyone happy Diwali with a political subtext and hashtag #ourFCPS. Christmas will roll by, and the crickets will be deafening. Same for Easter. I hope this year they get a big fat NO on the bond vote. I can’t be the only one thinking this.

They can split a class into other classrooms and/or resources are pulled from other areas: IA, resource teachers, AART, counselors, etc.

Calm down, they've always post things on Facebook for Easter, etc

Relax, I’m sure they will post a
Merry Christmas post with the #ourfcps just like they did last Christmas. Without even looking at the calendar I can even be sure it’s a day off school too! You’re not being persecuted.

A sunrise. A cross. Something related to the religious connection

How about something like:

“A joyful Easter to all in our community who celebrate! The springtime celebration of Easter is the most important Christian holiday. It commemorates the resurrection of Jesus, who sacrificed so that Christians may have life with God after death. #OurFCPS“

(FCPS actual Easter post 4/20/25)

I got up at 4 am to start work today. Poor planning on my part.. I hadn't fully processed there was no school and no SACC until it was too late to request off. But it would be great if we could just avoid this situation with thr calendar altogether going forward.

I guess you don’t follow their Instagram or Facebook account. You’d better believe there have been and will continue to be posts about Christmas and Easter. They make sure they hit ALL the holidays. You can check right now. Go back to posts from April.

Find something else to whine about. It doesn’t seem that difficult for you.

Happy Diwali.

This. My high schooler was gone 12 hours yesterday for sports. He needs today to study and do homework.

Maybe everything isn’t about you. I know that’s difficult for you to really understand so I am sending thoughts and prayers.
