| Fall ball is done and the season will be here soon. Name your pick for boys state champs and a dark horse contender too. |
I don't know who they talked to and neither do you. The question that was posed was how did the kid end up at Madison. The answer is that his mother was a teacher at Madison and that was a valid method of transfer in Fairfax County at the time. Mystery solved. |
Yorktown is winning the district, region, and States. |
Yorktown is a dark horse, nothing more. |
they are gonna beat Langley in districts and beat Madison in regions |
My dark horse in the library would have to be Herndon. Returning a lot of strong players and just added another commit on defense the other day. I'm unsure that they will be able to take down Langley consistently, but if they took down Yorktown I wouldn't be surprised at all. |
"added another commit"? What does that even mean? |
One of their defenders committed to Bates |
|
It means they had another player commit to play in college....
#1 Attack - York #99 D Mid - Roanoke #9 LSM - Bates |
| Going with Battlefield for states and Cosby as dark horse. |

6A: Champion is Robinson - Too good on defense, and they will develop offensivly as the season goes. Dark Horse is Langley - they have a face off guy and multiple other threats, that can take you deep into the playoffs.
5A: Champion is Stone Bridge - They have multiple college commits, I believe its their time. Indy moves on, Stone Bridge steps in. Dark Horse is Riverside - they look just ok at the Turkey Shootout. However they seem to always be in the mix, so probably will be again to some extent. 4A: Champion is Salem - They return multiple guys from their state championship run last year. Dark Horse is Loudoun County - Building off of last years runner up success as well as there is some success throughout the school with the football team also making it to the state finals this year. |
| For 6a. Those sounds right. Robinson offense has more than last year so they will be in good shape come March. Agree on that defense. They are Championship level. My darkhorse is YT. They have a lot of talent that looked good at TSO - both side of the ball. |
I'm not sure I'd call Langley a dark horse as their parents won't ever stop talking about them, but they are certainly a contender. As for a 6a champion I agree with Robinson, and my preferred dark horse is Cosby finally proving a school from the south can win it all. I think based off of precedent, I would flip the 5a schools. Until someone who isn't a stacked Indy can take down riverside I have to ride with them, especially with a strong 26 class. I don't know much about 4a but from what I do that seems right. |
Didn't Yorktown lose to a Riverside team that was missing their entire defense and goalie? |
