Rooted in Oakton, a group trying to keep Crossfield ES at Oakton and not Western. They have a website and everything.

It's a small group of Crossfield AAP and sports moms who have a lot of time on their hands and have recruited their Oakton, Navy and Waples Mill friends to join a FB group and sign a petition to make it look like a huge portion of the Crossfield community supports staying at Oakton. Look in the FB group - I don't recognize 75% of the names.

There is no Oakton middle school, you mean Carson. Carson kids go to Oakton, Chantilly, South Lakes, and Westfield. I don't know of any other middle school that feeds to four (maybe soon 5) high schools.

Oakton families had no problem turning Thoreau into a middle school that splits to three high schools because they didn’t like being assigned to a “lesser” middle school that only split to two high schools.

You jnow those poor Hagel Circle kids should never have been bussed 4 elementary schools away, crossing I95, all the way to Halley.

Are you aware that they are passed pass the same I95 crossing to get to south county middle and high school… why is this not an issue?

I’m a different type of Gunston parent willing to accept them.

I live in the hayfield part of Gunston and want to move to SoCo.

Know Lorton station parents who want that move too.
