Yes, they should make it clearer on this. They said 3 new Uxx players can be added. Since it is after tryout with new SY team formed, I made my assumption Uxx is for the SY player to play the remaining league games. |
Such a loser. I'll do your work for you, again. https://www.reddit.com/r/youthsoccer/comments/1o7d327/mls_next_is_reconsidering_school_yearbirth_year/ |
Notice how it says exactly nothing. Just some crazy parent that really wants SY post. |
Everyone on this thread (including me) is a loser… |
This thread 90% has been just people arguing but 10% (maybe 5%) has been pretty accurate information. With people giving out information they are told which is why most people still check the forum. Trying to see if anyone giving out any info that is not public knowledge. |
Hard to use this to back up your claims this just says MLSN is looking into it? Sounds pretty accurate to me. |
Do you do any of your own work? |
| Some new SoCal posts on MLSN favoring SY |
| You don’t understand. MLSN is top dog they can do anything they want even if it doesn’t make sense, they will stay BY . All the best players in the US born between Jan and Aug will flock there, as long as their parents don’t mind all the insane travel and scamming that they will go pro or get a scholarship. MLSN is real. It is not like any other league or even close. |
Totally agree that they could make a decision that makes zero sense. We all just have to wait until they announce it… which should be a couple weeks after spring tryouts at this rate. |
| I can’t imagine they want to not a have a decision at MLS Fest. That’s all people would be talking about. |
Any decision MLS Next makes or doesn't make will make 100% sense to them. You may or may not like it and if you dont like it will whine and moan on DCUM endlessly. But, it wont matter. |
SOCAL League (what they're talking about) has already announced that they plan to switch to SY. This has nothing to do with MLS GA or ECNL. In general SOCAL League is the one every club plays their littles in. Once players hit u13ish A and B teams become MLS GA or ECNL and C etc teams are SOCAL. The SOCAL season goes Feb to Feb not Aug to Aug. This is why they're talking about SY teams. Also SOCAL teams tend to be put together by cattle call tryouts which generally occur in late Nov / early Dec. If coaches see any high level talent in SOCAL teams they'll group them into an "all star" SOCAL team. The all star SOCAL team players will get constantly hit up by coaches to play on competitive B and sometimes A teams which depending on grade may or may not be SOCAL teams. Not that any of this matters. Just explaining how it works in LA/SD. |
| The SoCal FORUM |
| Is anyone hearing anything from their MLSNext clubs/coaches? We are at an MLSNext club and I’ve not heard a peep from the coaches or club. Players and parents aren’t talking about it all. |
