I got my first real post PhD job at age 31 and was making 50k.
I'm now 44 and about to negotiate an offer that starts at 110k. Not a high earner, for this area, but I have a pretty great job. Money is not everything, although I never realized how much it helped until I had kids. Try not to obsess, OP. For every family with a HHI of 400k, there are 3 on food stamps. You're just not comparing yourselves to them. |
