I'm sorry to inform you that Hamas is holding hostages and shot some point blank a few weeks ago. It's horrible on both sides. There is no justification - just a cycle of violence until a mediator can get in and broker not on behalf of the sides, but on behalf of all the innocent people being harmed during the duration and what their best interest is. I know that there are hostages being held in Gaza. I also know that Israeli leadership doesn't care about those hostages.

I am sorry for all the innocent hostages being held in Gaza and their families. And all the innocent Palestinians being kept in torture camps in Israel. May they all get the freedom they deserve.

My post was just to point out that although it has fallen out of the news cycle, innocent people are still being killed everyday in Gaza. Yesterday ~100 people were killed in Gaza.

Israel needs to stop the murder in Gaza. They will never get all the hamas members. They got one in that strike, and who knows how many more traumatized people from that strike will take his place. It's maddening.

Yes let’s call on Israel to reengage with ceasefire talks (they are the ones who walked away). and can we also call on them to meet directly with Hamas/Hezbollah instead of through intermediaries?

How many commanders does Hamas have? Every single strike on schools, mosques, and an orphanage is being called a strike on a "Hamas command and control center".

That "hamas command and control center" in the fourth link killed one "local Hamas figure". The IDF can't even keep track of which schools they are hitting. From the bbc article (https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c3dv18l03n1o) about that strike:

The Hamas-run Gazan authorities also named it as Al-Zeitoun C.

When asked about incorrectly naming the school, the IDF refused to comment.

Dr Amjad Eliwa, an emergency physician who treated those injured in the strike, described over 30 injuries reaching his hospital, saying they were “mostly among children and women, with cases of amputations and very severe injuries”.

He described one of those who died as a woman who was six months pregnant.

Apparently the attack on World Central Kitchen was only a mistake in that they thought a militant was with them and there was none.

It was official Israeli policy to attack any humanitarian aid convoy if they thought Hamas may be present. Regardless of any aid workers that still might be in the convoy.

The worst part of all is that policy was discussed with and approved by Blinken on a trip he made to Israel in mid October.

The IDF received this instruction from the Security Cabinet at the beginning of the war, sometime around October 18, 2023, following heavy pressure from the United States.”

Concerns raised by the drone operators about hitting aid workers were dismissed by their commanders, who insisted on strict adherence to the order, “no matter what.”
