Facts matter. Emigration was ABSOLUTELY an option through a certain point. When have Palestinians had the option of emigration?

Hitler was evil. Netanyahu IS evil. For the moment, perhaps we should focus on what is, not what was. I mean, unless you’re incapable of caring about anyone else other than you and yours?

Emigration — you mean the Madagascar plan?

Very sad.

If only Hamas would stop hiding among women and children.

If only Israel would stop killing women and children. It seems incapable and unwilling to do so. Just like Israel is incapable of caring about its hostages. Israel has become the Nazis.

I’ve posted here before, my family was murdered by actual Nazis and let me tell you, be glad as horrible as war is, it is nowhere near being hunted down by Nazis.

Yep. Hitler would have killed every single Palestinian over the course of a year. He wouldn’t have allowed polio vaccinations to happen.

I despise Bibi, but thank god he is not as bad as the Nazis.

Or the Russians, who killed almost everyone in my family’s Ukrainian village during the pogroms in 1915. My family managed to escape but my great grandma told me what it was like.

Get over it. Bygones are bygones. We live in this century.

I was assaulted for being Jewish 2 months ago.

But sure — get over it.

Video please. I'd like to see what actually happened in the 10 minutes leading up to the alleged assault.

Sorry. I don’t have a video you can watch to see how my crappy Jewish a* deserved it.

Just saying. I like to see what happened prior to the excessive force used by police. I've also seen plenty of videos with Jewish groups running their mouth and getting up in people's faces. I've gone to these protests to get a first hand account as to what is going on. It's pretty eye opening.

This wasn’t by the police.

But I know — I’m a dirty Jew so why would you believe me?

The police situation was an analogy. After years of watching "I can't breathe videos" only to see footage released that showed exactly why (in many - of course not all) circumstances a great degree of force was required, I deeply question the narrative put forth by someone with a political/personal agenda.

So how’d they end up in Israel/Palestine?

Hitler killed 67% of the Jews in Europe, not 100%. After the war, some of the surviving Jews went to Mandatory Palestine.

And plenty of Jews had been in Mandatory Palestine before 1939.

No, I mean something that looks different than the absolute land, sea and air blockade that Israel has imposed, along with shoot on sight orders, on the Palestinian people since ... well, forever for 80%+ of them. If at any point Jews were free to leave Germany, and they were, their plight was less restrictive than the average Palestinian who has lived in the Gaza and West Bank concentration camps over the past 50 - 60 years.

I know, I know. How could anyone top you in the victim olympics?! Well, just peer into Gaza and the West Bank for a glimpse of a far worse fate than pre-1940 Germany.

Your post assumes so much about me and ours so many words in my mouth that I can barely even begin to respond to it.

But I bet it was really fun to write a vent like that against what you imagine me to be.

ProPublica has obtained documents and emails confirming that USAID and the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration within the State Department concluded that Israel was deliberately blocking US humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Which is important because, as per US law, this would have required the US to stop shipments of weapons to Israel.

However, these assessments were disregarded by the state department.

“While we agree there have been positive steps on some commitments related to humanitarian assistance, we continue to assess that the facts on the ground indicate U.S. humanitarian assistance is being restricted,” an official in the bureau wrote to the group.

It was a potentially explosive stance to take. One of Resnick’s subordinates in the arms transfer bureau replied and asked for clarification: “Is PRM saying 620I has been triggered for Israel?”

Yes, replied Julieta Valls Noyes, its assistant secretary, that was indeed the bureau’s view.

Blinken override.

Sadly, we are in desperate need of a tribunal for these individuals who brazenly violate ethical boundaries and selfishly harm the interests of Americans through their conflicts of interest.

Yesterday another Palestinian journalist was killed in Gaza in a missile strike on her house yesterday, Wafa al Udaini. She was killed alongside her husband and two kids.

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israeli-airstrikes-kill-12-gaza-ground-fighting-less-intense-2024-09-30/

She appeared on western news outlets and was a voice for the Palestinian people by speaking about the horrors they have had to live through the past year.

This is happening in our area, if anyone is interested.

SJP had received approval from UMD to hold an interfaith vigil on October 7. After pushback from Jewish groups, UMD revoked permission for the event.

SJP filed a lawsuit, contending the cancellation violated their first amendment rights.

Yesterday, the federal court agreed with the students and "granted the student organization’s request for a preliminary injunction and wrote that the group “has demonstrated a substantial likelihood that it will prevail on the merits of its freedom of speech claim.”

UMD has said they will follow the ruling of the court and the vigil will be held, as originally granted by the university.

BBC reports that what IDF called a "precise strike" on a Hamas "command and control center" on a school in Gaza last week killed 22 people.

13 of those killed were children.
6 were women.
1 was a "local Hamas figure"

So one local Hamas figure = Hamas command and control center. And justifies the killing of 19 women and children. Absolutely atrocious.

It’s not important. Hamas brags about hoarding aid and translating it into weapons.

Pretty sobering:

According to Oxfam, Israel has now killed more children in Gaza in the past year, than all Ukrainians killed in nearly two years of war with Russia.
