I agree. I find tattoos low class.

I haven't and I won't and I will continue to have an opinion on the matter.

I can't stand tattoos. Sometimes I think I need to go get one so DS and DD will never want one themselves.

Ditto. I can't help thinking that anyone with a tattoo is a little bit trashy.

Whenever I see a 25 year old girl with full tattoo sleeves, I assume that she has likely been through some trauma.

Choose your own adventure: physically or sexually abused, abandoned by her father, bipolar, raised by extremely neglectful or hyper-controlling parents, alcoholics, religious puritans, a teen mom, in foster care, a cutter, a hairstylist or tattoo artist, or some combination thereof.

Yes, I know I am a terrible person.

I agree. I think they are tacky, but everyone seems to have them. To each their own.

Why do you all care so much?

Because it is taxing to my day to have to look at fugly people displaying their childhood trauma all over their bodies

I absolutely love tattoos, and especially colorful sleeves on women. I don't have any yet because I fear the kind of judgment posted here. I work in a conservative field and don't want to be judged as incompetent or irresponsible. It's sad, because when done right, tattoos are a beautiful form of self expression.

Getting a tattoo in a rarely visible spot (eg rib cage) is pointless to me as it would never be seen and I think when done tastefully they are beautiful accessories.

Move to san francisco/seattle, attend burning man regularly, make sure you smell of weed and patchouli oil.

Looking at tattoos is like walking thorough a park that has billboards every 10 ft that read "HEY LOOK AT ME! I NEED YOU TO SEE ME!" Call me crazy, but I prefer to look at nature and the trees. The human body, it's natural scars and markings is 10.000 more beautiful.

Why does it matter to you at all what's on someone else's body as long as they're not asking you to put it on yours?
