I love my tattoo. I loved it when I got it (stone cold sober, after planning) at 29. I love it now when I'm pushing 50, though I need to have the color reinked.
I'm a very high ranking executive in a very conservative field. The tattoo has never been an issue. It's hugely attractive for kids (as it's a cartoon character.) My body, my choice, and anyone who judges me for it I don't want in my world anyway. I'm sure your judgment is reflective of small mindedness I would find hugely distasteful on any number of subjects. Do I love all tattoos? Of course not. Do I think a teenager should get full sleeves, etc...? Of course not. Do I think every adult who is sound of mind has the right to do as they please w/ their own body? Absolutely. |
This looks like a good place for an ***irony alert***. |

Who cares more about if someone else has a tattoo, the person with one, or without one? I sure as hell don't care if anyone else has one. I enjoy the beautiful ones , ignore the badly done ones, and it doesn't even cross my mind for everyone else. It's just art, it's everywhere, sometimes it's lovely, sometimes controversial, sometimes terrible. The only thing for me would be if that person did it for themselves or others. But since I don't know another person's story without speaking with them, I have decided to myob on issues of external appearance. |
