Around the time they gave him away she did a giveaway of a LV fanny pack stuffed with $1000. Priorities. |
Oh stop. They paid for many therapies for him. |
They aren't paying for a lawyer or the adoption agency. The new family pays all that. The giveaway was probably a promotion that they got that stuff for free to give away as part of her payment for advertising. |
And, what is many therapies? A child with "severe" ASD would be doing 20-40 hours a week of ABA, SP, OT and possibly PT. Plus, the school system can provide therapies for free if money is an issue. They could have done much for that kid. My child was in ST 5 days a week, plus OT and ABA on top of preschool. You do what you need to do. This child also should have had someone who spoke Chinese teaching him English. This was a SN child who spoke no English placed in a family who spoke no Chinese. Of course he's going to have issues, tantrum. Even if he didn't have SN, he would as he cannot communicate in the same language. Its different foods, different customs, etc. |
I don't think the adoptive family pays for the lawyer to defend the adoptive on social media. Their own lawyer? Who filed the adoption paperwork? Yes, the new family probably paid for that. I also don't think you can assume that costs were passed through to the family the way they would be in a newborn adoption. |
Your cousins did all the right things. Its very different than expecting him to fit in and not take the time. I've even seen some families hire Chinese nannies or aupairs for a year to have a good transition. |
According to an article shown on IG, they “hand selected” his new family. So idk why people think that they just gave him away to anyone. |
That's not a surprise as it is hurting their livelihood. They may also have child welfare involved as well. |
What’s that even going to matter? They don’t abuse their kids. People who think their kids should be taken away are disgusting. |
Some quotes don’t age well. |
Who needs to take what is given away freely? |
We don't know what goes on behind closed doors as they don't video that. And, some of those videos with that little boy were abusive, like taping his finger. You get him into OT and get chewy and fidget toys. |
Social media, no, but everything related to the adoption yes. It is customary for the adoptive parents to pay the birth parent (or adoptive parent in this situation) attorney bills, as well as other expenses depending on the state laws. Each party should have their own attorney. They should have an attorney to sign the consent forms and then the adopting families attorney files the adoption paperwork with the consent. An older child adoption works the same way but adoptive parents in some states cannot pay expenses outside of attorney fees. They would have no costs to place this child. However, if it was an agency placement, depending on the state, the agency took the consents and then the agency or the agency attorney filed on behalf of the adoptive parents for the adoption. It can be very quick. Our adoption was finalized in a few months. It only would take longer depending on state laws and if the adopting family had their home study done but if they were with the agency they probably had one done. |
JFC. This was covered PAGES AGO. They were advised to do this by doctors. All they have to do is pull records of that up and boom, no issue. Plus that was not even remotely close to being abusive. Stop the dramatics. |
