Which is why I’m so curious as to why we’re not in it. |

PP here. Especially when you look at this response:
“Soon-to-be ex-LMVSC parent here: this is correct. We had several of our top teams way short of players and so those teams played in NCSL (2nd or 3rd divisions). They were basically about .500. Lots of us want leave CCL but they are refusing to see reality, and because of CCL fees they’re able to charge us more money. If they don’t remove themselves this season, they’ll probably be kicked out next season and then it’ll be even harder. We’ve been in the club for quite a while and know quite a few of families in different ages and genders. Last year, we lost a couple hundred players and most were from our top teams. This year, it’s basically sort of similar. Virtually every team is losing 1-2 better players that didn’t leave last year. Thread is from https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/15/889256.page (can someone explain difference between ECNL CCL NCSL) |
| The club is going to cling to CCL as long as they can. They can charge us more money, thus, pay themselves more money (just like the academy “plan”). Which I sincerely doubt is going to work. Which makes me curious as to why they’re trying to recruit, and why they’re not getting the players. |
If they stay CCL this year, they’ll be it. We’re staying in CCL by going to a nearby club. |
| I see a lot of clubs returning to practice this week. Did I miss a club email for this? I was expecting to be notified by our academy or team coach, but I haven’t seen anything. Has anybody else received anything? We haven’t heard much regarding our squad team or academy team as a whole, tbh. |
Because your club/your coach/your academy is sh|t |
|
Wow pp -angry much? Our team had practice but it was no contact in line with rules. Teams are most likely making decisions now on what works. Why don’t you reach out to your team. Most likely they are working through a plan for return to play. Your kid will not be behind. FYI the teams that have had full contact are not teams that care about kids. Following rules is a basic way to help kids become responsible adults.

Oh so not academy? Figured as much, another lie. |
This, in all likelihood, is probably because so many teams are losing players. I suspect there aren’t that many signing up, and having club-wide training wouldn’t look too appetizing with so few players out there. Are there other possibilities? Sure, but Occam's razor seems to point to lack of players needed. |
No one is practicing "full contact" maybe Clubs in MD who are ahead on Phase 2. Which team are you on that has had practice? We haven't heard anything??? And yes, and for many reasons, our kids are already behind. |
| LMVSC sent out the 'Return to Play' cohort groupings last night. My understanding is that these groupings only include players that are comfortable returning to in-person training. It looks like only 4 of my DC's team mates are participating...perhaps the rest of them are opting for Zoom training? |
or another club |
We were told no more zoom sessions. LMVSC that is |
Well some players on my DS team have registered but are not ready to return to the field yet. Parents would like to give it some more time. |
+1 (although I know it’s way more than 1) |
