Barr Installs Outside Prosecutor to Review Case Against Michael Flynn, Ex-Trump Adviser

When will a good reporter ask him about it? He claimed this for 2 years. We need to hear about what he claims to have seen.

Schiff is gonna lay low as there is a host of documents and notes coming out shortly involving him.

“We opened the Russia investigation to determine if the Russian government coordinated with the Trump campaign. Mr. Flynn had prominent, high level interactions with Russian officials, so we investigated whether he might be that point of coordination. We received incontrovertible evidence that Mr. Flynn spoke to the Russian ambassador on more than one occasion, that he actively tried to influence the actions of Russian officials, and that those officials acceded to his requests. The FBI was obligated to interview him to better understand why he was talking to Russian officials. During the interview, he lied about the substance of his conversations with those officials. His lies added to our concerns about his relationship with the Russian government. Later, under oath in Federal Court, he twice admitted to lying to the FBI.

Today’s move by the Justice Department has nothing to do with the facts or the law — it is pure politics designed to please the president."

Says the person who lied to the IG...

That's not what the IG said. But I'm sure he appreciates you putting words in his mouth.

Andy McCabe is a lying crook. Interesting that he went into law enforcement given his felonious tendencies.
He’s a liar. If you believe him you need church.

That probably sounds better in the original Russian. Or Arabic. Or Farsi. Or Chinese. Can't keep track nowadays.

Stop talking about Trump so much. It’s getting old.

The whole point of this is that Putin is desparate to lift sanctions. Legitimate sanctions for military and subversive actions against Ukraine designed to undermine their government and prevent them from becoming a strong counterweight in the region. Add Putin's internal human rights record and alliances in the Middle East and the U.S.A has nothing but trouble.

The question keeps coming up as to why Trump, Flynn and others in this administration want to support the Russians. They actually started cyber attacks against the U.S. government in 2014 if not earlier.. People want to keep saying "no collusion", but this rather ignores all the people who seem to be in Russia's orbit that has joined this administration. It really comes down to one reason: money. People have been paid off for promising actions by the U.S. government that will result in undermining our national security and that of our allies. Flynn was part of that effort. People want to say. "Oh, poor Flynn!" But please tell me what a potential National Security Adviser doing cutting deals with Russians before he is actually in office and continuing to represent Erdogan's government for money when he is the next NSA-in waiting. Deals that I may add are not in the U.S. strategic or security interests.

I don't think the FBI screwed up. Anyone who works for the federal government knows that lying to the FBI is a crime. That Barr has tried to have these charges dropped is the other crime.

THANK YOU. Yes this has been totally lost in the right wing propagandasphere. They are shrieking that it wasn’t right for an investigation to take place. It’s insane.

GOP propaganda has made the lie big enough. People - as evidenced by the Traitor Terrys on this thread - are gonna go whole hog rather than examine their poor decisions.

Problem is that:
1. FBI agents had no reason to interview him. There was no crime.
2. Initially, they said he did not lie. Strozk "edited" the 302--which he was not supposed to write.
3. Flynn plead guilty because his son was threatened and he was out of funds. That was the only "lie" he told. He was coerced --that is illegal on the part of the prosecutor.
4. According to the law, it is only illegal to lie to the FBI about "material" matters. Since there was no crime, even if he told a lie, it is not prosecutable.

I strongly suggest that you go read the actual interviews just released from Congress and not the media opinions. For example, Schiff has repeatedly said that there was "evidence" of collusion from the testimonies. Yet, none of those interviewed (53) had evidence of that. So, Schiff has lied repeatedly. Same for Clapper, Farkas, and others. They testified they saw nothing of collusion, yet repeatedly have gone on cable news and said there was. So, whose spreading propaganda?

LOL! So, you don't want to read the truth. And, you don't know anything about the laws. Got it.

+100
Everything posted is fact.
Some reporter needs to call out Schiff on his constant claims. But, no reporter will. We know why.

Another shocking detail: Crowdstrike (which has been cited on media many times as saying the Russians had the DNC emails) admitted in testimony via Shaun Henry that they did not know that. That it was just "circumstantial" evidence--meaning that there was not any evidence.

And DNC never let FBI check it out--they relied on Crowdstrike.
