I 100% disagree. Not voting is a type of vote. A vote that neither candidate was worth the effort.

Not all people who don't vote are taking a stand. Many are lazy and apathetic.

You can always vote 3rd party or write in for POTUS. You can always only vote down ballot.

That is not looking good for Biden. As the opposition candidate in a country with a manifestly derelict leader, one who has been impeached and who lies blatantly every day, he should be polling much, much better.

I really don't understand why he's the Democratic candidate. He's really not sharp enough. This should be an easy win. Democrats keep shooting themselves in the foot, with extreme or dumb candidates. Why can't they choose someone moderate, younger, and more charismatic???????

Who was moderate and polled as well as Biden did as able to defeat Trump?

Not looking good for Biden? If that is the case, then Trump is downright puny.

Sure, sure, there are way way too fcking many people who can vote who don’t, usually for the stupidest reasons, but please remember that the GOP has developed a surgical precision in preventing way too many people who want to vote from doing so. NP.

What, specifically, is “not looking good for Biden”? Trump’s *own polling* shows him losing to Biden among seniors by a double digit margin. A REPUBLICAN right now is trailing a Democrat among OLD PEOPLE by more than ten points. Trump’s trailing in every swing state. Don’t just come in here like an idiot and throw stones at Biden. He’s running against an incumbent and the current situation makes running a campaign difficult. He wasn’t my top choice either but here we are. And his numbers look good.

Oopsies.

Turns out when you write off a group of people (who have high voting rates) as it being their time to die, to sacrifice themselves for the economy, they don't want to vote for you. Imagine that!

As far as I am concerned, people who choose to vote but are denied are disenfranchised. Their opinion matters and we need to do whatever we can to preserve their right to representation.

People who have no such constraints but "choose" not to vote, whether they are lazy, apathetic or are dissenting like the PP above, are unimportant as far as I am concerned. Their opinions don't really matter when it comes to managing the country or politics because they are choosing to let everyone else decide. If they can vote, but choose not to, then they accept whatever happens. It's part of why I pretty much ignore Bernie Bros and their arguments. If they can't be bothered to vote, I won't waste my time listening to their arguments. If you want to be petulant and childish and take your ball and go home, then we'll continue the game without you. And I really don't care what you think of the rules, because you aren't playing. So, go home Bernie Bros. Until you actually show up and vote, your opinions are not important.

Is Biden leading among the Old People in Florida and Arizona? That will mean a lot.

+1

But what successes will Trump have? The economy is toast. The number of deaths will be massive.

And sadly, the death count from Coronavirus will climb by 1500-3000 every day between now and then.

Nah, only for 2 more months. Then it will dip 10% for a bit. Then it will come back when people say "F it. I'm taking my summer vacay." Then it will stay high when kids go back to school. Then it will get a little worse when the weather gets cold.

Then Trump and Barr will monkey with the election...
