Agree. The PP cited MoCo spending $20K per student, per year. But that is the average for ALL MoCo students. Undocumented / noncitizen children cost far more than that $20K average because: - ESOL services are required, - FARMS costs the government $$ - SPED rates are far higher for this cohort - graduation and college admission rates are far lower, meaning they contribute much less to our economy over their lifetimes, etc. So yes, we will save money by not allowing this group to enter the US in the first place, and by removing them to their home country, where they can go to school in their own school system. |
It's paid for by property taxes so go find somebody to pay the property taxes. You seem pretty confident that you can easily find replacement taxpayers. I guess you will see. |
I'm not speaking of the weak policies of the Biden and Trump administrations. I'm speaking of policies the country as a whole would be on board with and policies we should hope a legitimate presidential administration would enact if we ever have another legitimate presidential administration. |
Exactly. Outrageous how Democrats fight AGAINST e-verify at every opportunity. WHY? |
Okay suit yourself. We are talking about the reality of electing Trump. He has been elected and he is talking about mass deportations. |
There is no free public school. School is expensive and it's paid for by taxes. Mostly property taxes. Stop spouting nonsense. |
Some Democratic politicians may fight against e-verify for unknown reasons but don't lump all "Democrats" in with such madness. |
You are wrong. It is illegal to cross in-between ports of entry. You can ask for asylum after crossing illegally once you touch US soil but you've still committed an illegal act in crossing without authorization. That was the basis for arresting parents and separating them from their children during Trump's last administration. |
That's not what the majority of the asylum seekers have done. They have presented themselves at the port of entry requesting asylum. |
So please explain why the American voters continue to vote in GOP and Dem politicians that refuse to pass legislation to reform our immigration and specifically asylum protocols? Are American voters really this frickin stupid? |
Let's be honest here - A lot of Republican employers don't want it either. |
The Bipartisan Senate Bill addressed a lot of these issues, but Trump had it killed. |
Trump thinks we should declare a national state of emergency and call out the military to do mass deportations.
Basically martial law. With talk like that I don't think your "honest hard working fruit pickers" are going to be spared. And I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of US citizens get expelled as well, if this is allowed to happen unchecked. |

Then name any Democrat politicians fighting FOR e-verify. |
