Have you checked the stats from the past two games?

No one really believes that 14+ families all relocated their entire lives this summer to rent in the Hayfield school zone for kids to attend for maybe only one school year, right? Its laughable.

What I have put together from parents and online discussion is that approximately 6 of the 12 legit moved. Football *is* their life and if they rent, it’s just a matter of ending their lease in Woodbridge and getting an apartment in Kingstowne.

Don’t know about the others but they moved, or papered the file to FCPS’s satisfaction. You can rent a basement bedroom from a widow for $600/month and you have a lease and payments to match. These families are probably spending $5k-$10k on travel teams, camps, and training. They are already invested.

That's not *residency*. The family actually has to be living in that basement.

Or one parent and the football player, or the football player is temporarily living with a “family friend” because of a “bad home situation”.

A home situation that bad warrants investigation by social services.

Actually CPS is now allowing children to be cared for by a known responsible adult in regards ti a bad home situation.

Obviously they haven’t. Hayfield is going undefeated for sure. They could lose in the post season, but my money is on them to win it all.

The Hayfield principal is heavily involved with the football team. He has told staff to stop gossiping or else. It’s currently so toxic at Hayfield.

Allegedly.

Truth. I will second the principal's message about no gossiping.

In other words no whistle blowing, keep the cheating under wraps, I bet that's the principal's message.

Here's some gossip, football isn't the only sport.

Hayfield with its state championship basketball program seeks to become dominant in multiple sports. I can see it becoming a regional sports powerhouse if that’s what the school’s admin desires. That’s obvious. But I personally don’t see the value of the hyper-sports-centered public high schools for most students. If a student wants to only focus on sports, the St. James has a brand new elite academy that’s all sports all day, with a sprinkling of state required academics on the side.

The St. James charges thousands for a deposit for sports and what financially intelligent person would pay that out unless their kid needs the extra coaching to boost their stats.

If students have the abilities to be successful in sports why would they not have the same ability in their studies? There is a better chance for scouts and scholarships from D1 schools watch an undefeated high school team, then some rich kids who paid to play to try to guarantee getting into a college that’s works with st James

Right or go to a school where the coach isn’t communicating with recruiters of behalf of the kid or the coach is playing the kid wrong. There are a lot of variables in a football program that can f up a kids future.
My kids play different sports, but I found them private schools which would be beneficial to each one of their situations. I just didn’t trust the politics at our local public.

Their wins will be tainted by cheaters and meaningless.

Is this true?

To the Cowardly RACIST hiding behind the keyboard posting as “Anonymous”…… if you feel so strongly to suggest everyone write the superintendent and “tell her how we are disgusted our taxpayer money is paying for these Prince William county kids to attend school”. If you feel that strongly why are you redacting your real identity?

I heard he wasn't even allowed keys to the building at his last school and was asked to leave.

How is it "racist" to expect people to follow the rules and reside in the correct school boundary?

Not sure, but one of the transfers that is also the head coach’s nephew did commit to VA Tech already.

This team is going to be nationally ranked. Many of the players will go on to do good things in the future. Let’s appreciate what is happening and Hayfield instead of trying to find something wrong with the program.

The Clemson recruit did not play yesterday. The rumor is “grade eligibility” not “residency eligibility.” That could be anything - failed a class at Freedom, isn’t enrolled in 5 classes at Hayfield (VSHL requires 5) or something else.

The VT recruit (also the head coaches nephew) played yesterday and scored 4 TDs.

How is the head coach's nephew playing at the school? He lives with the coach and they all moved to Hayfield zone?

Who cares? If a coach coaches a team of neighborhood kids for years to get up to that level, then yes, amazing.

This is cheating, poor sportsmanship and an embarrassment to the Hayfield community. There is nothing to appreciate about a bunch of cheaters cheating.

Trash school, trash program.

The coach's brother/the dad of one of the stars
was awarded a BS job at the school.

I don't know what the rules are for kids attending if their parents work at the school. I thought that was just for teachers (he is not a real teacher.) and that you had to live somehwre in Fairfax but who knows what is really going on over there. Shady.

How many people associated with Cheating Coach did the Hayfield principal hire for paid positions at the school?
