To be clear the border is a mess and needs to be addressed. The Dems have abjectly failed in that regard.

You know it was the Republicans who killed the border bill, right? On Trump's explicit instructions.

The border bill that cleaned up the border by processing more "refugees" into the country quicker? Umm... yeah. How about blaming Schumer for not voting on the previously passed House border bill. To argue that Democrats want to fix the border is laughable.

I mean yes, these are the people that voted for Dan Cox. But they certainly won’t vote for Angela Alsobrooks in November.

Yikes. That's pretty bad for Hogan to lose 30% of the vote to that Robin Ficker of all people. Seems like Hogan is not as popular as people think he is.

FWIW Alsobrooks alone has more votes than Hogan and Ficker combined.

Have you looked at Ficker’s positions? He’s way to the right of Hogan. The people who voted for him will vote for Hogan in the general election.

Did these people not see Fickers ads? He went full MAGA. None of those folks will refuse to vote for Hogan in the general election.

MAGAs hate Hogan and may not actually vote for him in the general.

I, a Democrat, would vote for Hogan again as Governor if permitted. I will not vote for him for US Senate. For the sake of the country, Congress must be controlled by Democrats.

I’m just glad that Hogan won the Republican primary. It shows other Republicans that they can stand against the MAGA mob and not be “primaried out”. Moreover, while I’m pretty confident that a Democrat will win the general, if some unforseen event (death, illness, family crisis, scandal, etc.) strikes, that for any reason would allow a Republican to win, we are now safe from a MAGA candidate.

It shows the other Republicans that a two-term governor can beat a notorious crank. Congrats, or something.

True. Do we know if Republicans don’t vote in the primaries?
