The Guardian retracted the story "quoting" the high school classmate. Also, a lot can change for someone over 6-7 years, particularly if they are in the discord/4chan internet vortex. So, given the Guardian story no longer hold, what do you base that the shooter is a leftist given the grandmother said they were all republicans? The obvious answer, given he follows Laura Loomer and others on Twitter, is that he was not a leftist by rather is to the right of Charlie Kirk and took Loomer's disassociated to heart.

He is undermining our colleges and universities

Our healthcare regime and front line hospitals etc are failing.
Our legal institutions are failing because compromised judges have been appointed to dismantle common sense Constitutional norms
Our government agencies that help maintain clean air and water and safe food and drugs are being dismantled.
The stock market is up because the corporate guardrails are being dismantled.

So at the end of the day, the average American is going to be sicker, poorer and less educated and capable of achievement in a global economy. But hte oligarchs and those in power will be living large.
