WTOP “The recommended sentence for the au pair is time served. She won’t be sentenced until after Brendan Banfield’s case has concluded.”
Time served? |
The charge was amended to manslaughter. |
I think that means the time she has already spent in jail or wherever she is. |
So this despicable human gets to walk after she testifies against Brendan. |
So will she likely go to jail or not? I made the mistake of looking at Christine’s Instagram and just cried. Yes the husband is the real culprit but this woman is a beast in human form. |
I think the poster knows what it means but finds it batshit crazy that all she would get is the time she has already served which is what? A year? |
Absolutely insane. Does anyone know who will get the daughter? Is she with her maternal grandparents? |
And then she will be deported I’m sure. |
I don’t understand, and maybe I’m too stupid but why is she getting manslaughter only if she was part of the whole plot? Why isn’t she charged with 1st degree murder? |
Wow. Just manslaughter. I am sure the fact she will be deported and probably not ever be eligible to come back into this country helped prosecutors get there. But still wow.
Rough negotiating by her attorney. But justice served at end with BB getting nailed. |
I can't decide if I'm happy because his worthless mama paid for this unbelievably good plea deal or pissed off that she's only getting time served. |
Because she pleaded down to a lesser charge, probably in exchange for testifying against BB. |
Keep in mind she will serve until BB's trial is over. Scheduled for late February but no way it happens before June (IMHO). And second, the judge still has discretion to even accept the plea at face value and to assign a sentence beyond what is recommended. Let's hold tight and just see how badly she implicates BB. |
