Ukrainian victory over Russia is inevitable

Sure - similar mafia/dictatorships would always go with the mafia model. It works well for some; terrible for most.

Africa is the third rail of civilization that Russians can exploit. West has been there done that and paid the price. Best of luck to Russian colonists.

Latin America will get their act together sooner rather than later.

Middle East will be completely irrelevant in 30 years as oil is relegated to a lubricant and limited plastics.

LOL. The Gulf dictatorships' money runs K street, most of DC's relevant think tanks and a bunch of hedge funds. They will buy more before it runs out. And their lack of democracy or complete disdain for human rights doesn't stop the US from having a verrry close, affectionate relationship with most of the Middle East despots. So you see, how the country chooses to run itself doesn't matter.

This is an example. Notice the "drive a wedge between the US and Saudi Arabia" theme that's popped up on occasion. This is how Communists are trained to "divide" between fragile relationships. Keep this in mind when you see anti-{insert topic here} themes popping up randomly.

US-Saudi relationship is not fragile and won’t be until the UD stops selling advanced weaponry.

And DCUM would be a weird platform if your goal was to destabilize it. I mean a guy was cut into pieces and nothing happened. DCUM, nobody cares.

The Ukrainians need vulcan cannons (either A-10's, tow mount, or the old M113-mounted M163 vulcan cannons used back in the day with Chaparral units). Although their anti-air range is about 1 km, they're actually better in a ground-support role to take out defenses and gun emplacements (3 to 4.5 km).

That would make quick work of Russan ground defenses and drones. Before the Army converted from Heavy Mechanized Brigades to Light (Counter-Insurgency), these were designed for tank-combat scenarios. Vulcan's are devastating to ground defenses, even though their primary mission is short-range air defense. The Russian Army would have no choice but to throw everything they have to stop them (tanks, aircraft, etc.) making them vulnerable to counter-attack.

What exactly is the link between oil prices and vulcan cannons? Is there a story somewhere there?

Yes. If you haven't figured it out yet, AI bot's can't react to mismatched stories!

I think your fear of these is a bit misplaced.

lol. Hope you're right, but I'm not a gambler.

The terrorist nation Russia just can't help themselves. They just have a burning need to cement themselves as the world's greatest evil. I'm sure the pro-Russia poster here will claim it's a false flag, that they were hiding drones in the refrigerator, etc.

"In a horrific scene, Russia’s invading forces attacked a busy market in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk Oblast with a brutal ballistic missile strike that killed 16 civilians – including a child – in the afternoon of Sept. 6, reported Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy."

Add this to the list of Ukrainian false flags:

Most likely an errant AD missile.

Romania finally admits that a Russian drone landed on their territory. Face-saving announcement says" Russian drone parts".

Obviously article 5 won't be triggered for this, but... it's always nice to see modern technology defeat some politicians' reflex to lie.

So we are back to BS about Ukrainian victories. Need to push the narrative for the next package. Tools of K street; Masters of War.

While there are undoubtedly military industrial complex people and entities reaping massive financial windfalls, it remains true that Ukraine is fighting for its independence.

Putin’s delusional unprovoked invasion of a neighboring sovereign nation has been a tragedy for Ukraine and Russia.

Ukraine is winning though. For too long we have been too weak with Russia so I’m glad that we finally toughened up under the Biden administration.

Terrible move by Russia - agreed.

Ukraine winning- bs. Country is being destroyed by the day.

Dp- does Ukraine win by letting Russia take over? Is that how they win?

Neutrality, cede Crimea and Donbas, get that fat western aid package to rebuild and save what’s left of a generation. You’re welcome.

LoL.

The west won’t settle until they see Russia cede land. Russia is going to lose in unprecedented ways.
Japan gets paid.
China gets paid.
Baltics get paid.
Ukraine gets paid.

Oprah will be the announcer of the new Versailles Treaty that the world extinguishes Russian imperialism with once and for all - or really we just let Russia devolve to tribal warfare until we get bored.

The Russian reality show - thanks for playing!

Russians are terrible. If any of those countries has the balls to make a move in their disputed land with Russia hats off to them. I do not see Japan going for their islands as that would just give China an excuse to get involved- maybe the baltics.

China could just take their river islands back and Russia would not say a word.

Russia is doomed; and the world will be better off; but how and when is anyone’s guess.

A better question is why Ukraine is so keen for a NATO country to claim they’ve been attacked by Russia.

Russia has been using S-300's (air defense missiles) as artillery for several months now, so not news.

If you do the math on 113b the US has given ukriane and assume 120k dead Russians so far that is about 1m per kill. $340k per casualty at 300k Russians killed or wounded.

That does not include lost hardware. And obviously the US is paying Ukrainian government salaries and a bunch of other stuff.

Still a total bargain. Would like to see higher Russian death rates & casualties - but maybe estimates are low or Ukraine can cause more damage inside of Russia to get better ROI.

Your ROI calculation does not include Ukrainian deaths to get to it but I understand that this is not really entered on your side of the balance sheet.

most of our aid has been used hand me downs and soon to be decommissioned equipment. it has a value for accounting reasons but isn't new spending.

Yep, even the HIMARS are 1990s-vintage. It's old, to-be-decommissioned stock that we already paid for and which we needed to be rotating for newer equipment anyhow.
