What are your thoughts about this? I feel that this is a trend that one can see in the most exclusive and competitive schools and colleges - where Asians are becoming the majority because of higher academic performance.

The lowering of admissions criteria will help Whites rather than Hispanics and Blacks. Similar to what is happening in the Ivy League colleges.

I don't trust any report that calls math "maths."

It's amazing how hard the system tries to prevent Asians. Pure merit driven processes no longer exist.

Well, let's flip this around. If a disproportionate amount of the seats went to white, would we not rethink it?

They never have existed.

If they deserve the seats, why would we?

Uh, yeah that's how the system used to work. Now the whites are mad.

So, Asians are discriminated against in the academic arena, but in the workforce, they are still considered "minorities" and affirmative action should apply to them (as defined by the Fed. Gov't ). Crazy.

So, I should tell my Asian kids it's ok not to work so hard in school because no matter how hard you try, you will be discriminated against, and also, you can rely on AA when trying to get a job, at least with the gov't.

Institutions only seem to "rethink it" when it's not the white majority, ie, too many Jews getting into Ivy leagues a long time ago.

Why do they have to change the exam? They can just lower the cutoff scores for Blacks and Latinos.

No, you tell your Asian kids to keep working and pushing forward. Don't get distracted by background noise... Just keep working and keep moving.

But...but...but...how will that benefit the Whites? I mean, all this talk of helping Blacks and Latinos is just a ruse to help more Whites get in.

Whites don't need extra help. There are plenty of smart white kids around. Plenty...
