Now that kids are 5 and 3 and easier wondering about taking them for a short trip on a deal for GWL. Sounds like our 5 yr old has enough to do - what about the 3 yr old? There looks to be so many activities but not sure if appropriate for 3 yr old besides the water toddler area? How many days might be a good idea for first trip for us - just an overnight stay or does it make sense to stay longer? Any suggestion on the type of room best suited for us?

They are the perfect age to go and there is plenty to do and various options. Just get a regular room as you really don't need a theme room and its not worth the extra cost. We recent went for 2 nights and it was perfect. Able to do early check in and also able to check out on last day and still use the facilities for the rest of the day. Take breakfast items and just eat in your room as well take lunch/snack items and bring them to the waterpark area. Weekdays are not as busy as Sat/Sun. Try to get down to the water area early to get chairs or a decent table space. We spent most of the day at the water and then wrapped for dinner somewhere, then did the story-time. Played board games in our room and pretty much went to bed when the kids did. The place has other things like an arcade, bowling alley, story-time with animal characters and it is really well run and tops for safety. |
| Yes, your kids will have a blast and plenty for your 3yo. One night would probably be enough because you still have access to water park all day on the day you check out. If your deal allows you to get a KidCabin, go for it. Kids that age think it's the coolest thing ever. |
| I just took my 26 month old and she had a blast. We went for one night. Got there around 3 in the afternoon, hit the kids pools and lazy river and wave pool (holding her course) for a few hours. Then again in the morning. The downside is that the food sucks ((buffet and over priced and almost inedible). Also, hard to get to sleep with tweens running up and down the hallways till well past 11pm. We will probably go back in the summer when the outdoor pool is open. |
| We are taking our kids for two nights in March. I assume they will love it but I am already dreading it. |

We had a great time when we went with my son. He was just under 3 years old and there was plenty for him to do. The small child area is actually quite extensive. Both of your children should have a nice time and my husband and I enjoyed it as well.

| Everyone I know that has gone had a great time. Two families came back with bedbugs. Just be aware. There are several bedbug registries online you can check with to see current information. |
Two nights is too long. Change to one if possible. |
Ugh!! I so want to but my husband thinks we need 2. |
Agree. One night and two days was/is enough. |

Skip the in-house Pizza - it takes hours to get, is over-priced, and does not taste good.
Instead, there is a strip mall just past the big-box with really good take out Pizza. Also, I believe adult beverages are allowed (well I allowed myself some) so take that along if you drink (I mean, its not like you will be driving anywhere that night). I thought the Magic Quest was kinda over-priced and seemed like half the stations were busted. Not really fun either for a 6 year-old; maybe better for 7 to 9 year olds. |
| If you do go, PLEASE try Pierce's BBQ just down Rochambeau. I'm originally from Williamsburg and crave it all the time! |
