Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates Part 4

The whole wedding ceremony which cost them $46 million was African American focused, with the Baptist choir and the young musicians. It was wonderful and celebratory. There is no way an intrinsically racist family would ever have done all that. No way.

I completely agree. We'll be flamed for this but who cares. They welcomed Meghan into the family like no one else. Despite what people think, William *did* send out a message to the press telling them to stop being racist and misogynist. Meghan got a very early engagement with the Queen. Meghan got a huge wedding even though it was her second. They killed untrue or unflattering stories about her. Meghan was the only fiancé to get an invite to Christmas before she was married. They got the internet pretty much completely scrubbed of her toxic pictures. The Queen gave her patronages she thought she'd enjoy. She got a full staff. I could go on and on.

Anyone remember when Harry abused a horse during his dumb polo match? H&M just don’t strike me as people of good character.

You’re confused. Kate is the one who has topless photos.

I'm not confused at all. Kate did have topless photos taken but there are also some pictures out there of Meghan at the beach topless which have been (rightfully) scrubbed from the internet as much as possible.

I mean everyone's done stupid things but it just makes me kind of laugh that the whole rest of the family gets called out for being racist when Harry:

1) Dressed up like a Nazi
2) Called one of his fellow soldiers a p*ki
3) Told a man he "doesn't speak like a black chap"
4) When asked where girlfriend Chelsy Davy was from, replied "Zimbabwe, but she's not black." (allegedly)

The family bent over backwards to welcome Meghan. I suspect they had trepidation given her past (divorced actress) and how quickly the engagement occurred. Nonetheless, they extended her courtesies that haven’t been extended to anyone else. The way these two behaved has done nothing but make the look like spoiled, entitled narcissists. I think the “fun-loving” Harry depicted for years in the press was a cover-up by the BRF so we wouldn’t see that he is actually a troubled, spoiled and, given some of the stories that have come out, unkind person.

+frickin 1 to all of this.

I'll start this out by saying that I don't hate any of them and I don't love any of them because I don't know them so I'm not a "hater" or a "stan."

The stuff about the skin colour of the baby is obviously extremely disgusting if true but again, we don't know what was said and there's conflicting reports between the two of them with what actually happened. So there's that.

But I find the whole mental health stuff extremely weird. Why didn't Harry, as her husband, get her help? He had help - he had been going to see a therapist for years. He had a car. If I was him and my wife confessed to me that she was thinking about killing herself, I would not say "sorry dear, but we have an event to go to." I would say, we're going to the hospital. Or, let me call my therapist. Kate has cancelled engagements before because of her pregnancy sickness, William even cancelled an engagement once because he wanted to stay home with Kate when she was sick. Harry could have said sorry we have a stomach bug (since he himself said he was too embarrassed to tell his family), cancelled the engagement, and gotten Meghan help. I feel terrible that Meghan felt that that was her only way out but the blame for what happened, in my opinion, sits solely with Harry.

But again, we don't know if Harry suggested any solutions and whether Megan rejected them. Or, he knew she was prone to exaggeration and thought it was probably nothing serious.

Because the whole thing was made up? He cancelled on an IRA bombing victims memorial so he could attend the Lion King and hustle Bob Igar for work, you think he would not cancel work if his wife was suicidal?

They concocted this whole thing since before the wedding. Harry wants the lifestyle of the billionaires he hung out with, without the work or the public pressure. He knows the only chip to trade is the Royal Brand; more power to him if companies want to pay him in exchange for attaching his name to a project.

Yup. I'm honestly totally fine that they want to move to California and do whatever the heck it is that they're doing. The Netflix deals, the Spotify stuff, books, CEOs of mental health orgs, you name it, have fun. What I really hate is them constantly trashing their family. If the worst thing that happened was that Kate made Meghan cry over some sort of bridesmaid dress kerfuffle when Meghan was about to get married and Kate was 2 seconds post-partum, do the Cambridges really deserve death threats??

We only have Meghan's version, since Kate won't talk.

Only the dumbest and lowest of people would feel sorry for an institution that has enslaved and tortured millions of people throughout the world for hundreds of years. The negative effects of colonialism still exist and will continue to do so for a long time. But yay for glossing over all that with a Baptist choir!

Yay for Meghan for choosing to marry into that very same institution!
