But she didn’t just decide she wanted no part she intentionally was complicit in the false narrative by doing the things PP stated above wrt the media. I actually don’t think she needed to plan parties for her or whatever but why let everyone believe something you know is false? And the chief of staff thing is just baffling and unprofessional.

What exactly did she do wrt to the media that you know for sure?

Wrt to believing what is false, the palace doesn't comment on every negative article and would quadruple in size if it did.

Besides, Meghan weaves her own false narratives just fine - for instance, posing as an entirely self-made woman who rose from humble beginnings with no thanks to anyone but herself. Why claim she paid for her own schooling? Why claim she doesn't understand tabloids "because we don't have that in America"?

I mean the most obvious thing her and William did was continue to employ someone whose boyfriend was proven to have leaked stories to the media about Meghan. And I think the crying at the dress fitting thing seems unlikely to have happened given how many people were there but did seem designed to make Meghan look like an angry “black” woman.

Just because Meghan weaves her own false narratives about herself isn’t justification to do something that is wrong.

Do you have a link re: boyfriend leaking stories?

Difficult women come in all colors, no one is angry or not angry because of their skin. I also don't know if the angry black woman stereotype is all that prevalent in the UK.

Then you haven't been paying attention. Diane Abbott has been through hell-and-back since being elected as the UK's first black MP in the late 1980s. She's still shit on and politicians 20 years her junior are now leading Boris' shameful cabinet.

Or look at how Naga Munchetty was treated so recently.

As for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Press Secretary's boyfriend leaking on Meghan, it came out in the court documents for the same lawsuit the BRF demanded/begged the Sussexs to drop over-and-over. Funny that.

Link please.

Hope you speak French. The British press aren't covering it.

No offense, but Meghan's team was advising her to be quiet, shut up, and do whatever the tabloids want. Which translates to - give the tabloids interviews when they ask and let them make millions off your pictures when they ask.

BRF members rarely give interviews and it is doubtful anyone would be advised Meghan to do it. The palace doesn't comment on private matters and it is unreasonable to expect the palace will excise every negative article about you. If your certain behaviors invite negative commentary, it's much easier to just stop these behaviors.

Within six months of marriage, Meghan had gone on tour with the Queen, did a 60-engagement whirlwind tour of 4 countries, announced a project that brought in more than $1 million in funding for her patronage and simultaneously was the most successful fundraising project in the history of the Royal Foundation based at Kensington Palace, and oh - sailed through her first trimester of pregnancy with no issues.

Her way worked in a 21st Century were results matter. The courtiers and the staff just didn't like that she outshone their Royal Laziness.

Your comment means you don't really understand how the palace is set up. No one is allowed to outshine anyone who is ahead of them in the order of succession. William is not allowed to outshine Charles, and Charles is not allowed to outshine the Queen. It's not a meritocracy. It doesn't matter if Meghan is better than Kate in certain things. It doesn't matter what results she gets. Kate is above her in the palace hierarchy and that means Kate will always get better billing. Meghan is not allowed to outshine Kate, and Kate is not allowed to outshine those above her. It's like...every orchestra has a first violin. And if a third-row player suddenly decided he or she can play better and why don't I just play the part of the first violin? it would be cacophony and mess. All of this was certainly explained to Meghan. Her mistake was assuming that the monarchy wants to be brought into the 21st century. Turns out the British public likes their monarchy just the way it is, and isn't really hankering for any modernization.

Personal matters Kensington has commented on:
William’s affair
Kate’s Botox
Carole Middleton’s social climbing

I'm trying to figure out why Kate needed to comment about Meghan - Is Meghan not capable of defending herself? She seemed to know how to work the system by having her friends give interviews to magazines (see: People). Why is Kate specifically being targeted? Why not Sophie? or Beatrice? or Eugenie? Prince Harry DID comment about the media scrutiny and vicious comments about Meghan before they were married (that comment came from Kensington Palace, by the way)… That was odd because back then, the articles about Meghan were mostly positive and flattering.

They actually did not comment about Kate having Botox. They countered a plastic surgeon who was using Kates image implying that he gave her botox - which is false advertising among other things.

kate and Will stood largely silent when topless photos of her taken via long lens on a private holiday - they just put their heads down and continued on the tour they were on- and by in large that has been forgotten. It seems that silence is the best policy after all.

Calling an international lawsuit silence is pretty hilarious.

Why didn't Meghan invite Kate to her baby shower in NYC? Why didn't Megan invite Kate "shopping"?

kate sent Megan flowers, invited her to Wimbledon, invited her to dinner... I'm not sure what Meghan was expecting, but friendships take time to develop (at least real ones, not ones you invite to your wedding for their A-list star status)

They didn't write a whiny book painting themselves as poor little victims. Trying to figure out what the point of this book is - MM and harrys scorched earth tactic isn't going to mend any relationship. At least MM wont be the only one with no family - now he is as physically and emotionally isolated from them as can be.

Most likely Meghan and Harry left.....because they could.

Why stick around for the drama and work of the royal family? It looks like a miserable life. Most likely, Meghan tried it out and realized it stinks. She and Harry have the means to live somewhere else and enjoy their life.

Younger generations have different standards when it comes to family relationships and what is okay. There is no longer this notion that you have to stick around no matter what family does to you. Meghan and Harry are much more likely to value their own life and happiness. So they left. It's really very simple. Perhaps things happened, such as Kate didn't support Meghan. But when it comes down to it, she probably left because the job wasn't enjoyable and she can live a better life somewhere else.

So why not leave gracefully instead of biting the very hands that feed them?

So go ahead and live that life. Why the perpetual grabbing for the victim mantle?

Crashing in other people's houses, no job, no friends for husband, separation from family, slowly losing relevance...some life. Did someone say financial independence?

They could be perfectly happy. We will never know.

This. And honestly that book is hitting bestsellers lists globally because the British press can’t seem to give up their Sussex obsession. The reporters who said they were irrelevant have made them the top story on all UK papers when Sussexes left over six months ago.

It's a whole lot better to talk about the Sussexes than the covid. That's why I'm here right now

not just topless. she took off her bikini pants while standing next to the pool and a French photographer got a shot of her woo-woo and published it in a French magazine. all hell broke loose....

How do you know she didn't?

It's laughable anyone thinks Kate should stick her neck out for her brother in law's new wife. She has young kids and her own siblings to worry about. Who gets that involved in their brother in law's marriage?

Kate was perfectly happy to involve herself with Harry when William was ignoring her at engagement after engagement. When the press were harassing her during her first pregnancy, Harry also spoke up for her. Maybe he thought she, and the rest of the BRF, had souls.
