Perhaps because she was PSYCHOLOGICALLY TRAUMATIZED.

I went through MUCH more than her and am not psychologically traumatized. Maybe because I DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT AT THE TIME. And I was younger than her.

And THAT makes you QUALIFIED to objectively JUDGE the actions and circumstances of OTHERS.

Glad you were able to come forward. Read this thread to see that many others did not/could not, and try to find some compassion and empathy to understand why.

Ever hear of internalized homophobia? Internalized victim blaming.

You sound quite angry, perhaps some repressed rage triggered by reading about this incident? Therapy might help.

She can't press charges. The statute of limitations has passed.

She might be able to pursue a civil suit for damages, but I'm not a lawyer, so don't know. Anyone know?

What exactly is the MD statue of limitations?

Again, how many years is it in Maryland?

There is no statue of limitations in Maryland. There are a bunch of statues in Baltimore City, some stone and some bronze, but those are mostly historical figures. None are of limitations.

Again, why hasn't she pressed charges?

I didn't use either term. I asked why hasn't she pressed charges?

your line of argument is a loser and weak, and you know it.

FYI, we're asking a simple question, not "arguing" anything, my friend.

Anyone?

If you want a real answer, at least use the correct term. Statute of limitations, not statue. You don’t even realize what you’re asking.

I’ve only read the first and last pages—I don’t know if she’s telling the truth, but I can’t think of a reason why someone in her position would lie. There’s too much to lose, and too little to gain. As for those doubting that someone would keep an incident like this to themselves without telling anyone, it can definitely happen. In particular, I’d been in a similar (but less severe) situation with two boys at the same age. I don’t think I told a soul until I told my husband in recent years. I know other women who can say the same about past incidents like this.

I hope she has a good support system in place for the media storm that is to follow.

An academic at a liberal college has too much to lose? HHAHAHAHHAAA. She'd lose if she had come out in support of Kavanaugh.

PP here and I was referring to her privacy, safety, the privacy of her family including children, etc.

Fortunately Kavanaugh has set his own standard for how a public official should be questioned when accused of sexual impropriety.

"He should be forced to defend his actions. It may not be our job to impose sanctions on him, but it is our job to make his pattern of revolting behaviour clear — piece by painful piece."

He wanted to ask Clinton about his ejaculation and about Monica Lewinsky's vagina,

This is what can happen when you outsource vetting to a special interest group.

given that kavanaugh was raised around here - surely there are posters on here that he tried to get with back in the day, no?

why haven't any of them posted on here?

Well you are clearly a superior human being. Does this mean you get to dismiss anyone who was psychologically traumatized by assault?

Perhaps she'll finally press charges tomorrow morning.
Why not?

Kavanaugh was 17? When this happened.

Oh come on. Do don't you know that black boys are to be treated as adults from age 10 and up, while white boys get to be children until they're nearly 30?

I don't think you're allowed to be racist on this forum. Sorry.

PP was being sarcastic (/s), but at least you recognize that trend in the justice system is due to racism.

How so?

He knocked the rapist off the victim.

He also documented that kavanaugh was an alcoholic during HS.

If you want to knock someone off, you grab him by the arms and pull them apart. You don't jump on top of them. The boys were just playing around. There wasn't any attempt to rape.

Yikes. I hope you don't have any children.
