How long do they film? Do you really think we see enough of them to really make those accusations? Those things (for the most part) were one time things. I've definitely said things to DH that I didn't mean and apologized for after the fact. Do you really think that would make the final cut (if it was even recorded)? For someone so "invested" you'd think you would have a better understanding of reality tv.

They film 1 week per month. I think PP was also referring to things that show up on Instagram and Twitter, which Tyler tends to post on a lot. If you follow him, he responds constantly to people who criticize his behavior, and makes it sound like a lot of those were not one time things. I'm thinking of the incident with his dog when he went ballistic. People brought it up online and he didn't think it was a problem to hit the dog when it did something wrong, or put the poop on the dog's face so it would learn not to poop in the house. He had some "cute" hashtag like #thebestway or something like that. If you watch the scenes with Catelynn and the pig, it seemed weird how nearly everyone talked about what Tyler would do or react, but in a way that suggested (to me at least) that he would lose his temper. I have disagreements with my spouse too, but I've never been scared that he would lose his temper at me, which people seemed to think Tyler would.

But who knows, it's true, we only see what they film, and from that, we only see what story they're choosing to tell us. Remember Leah's struggles on TM2 last season were painted as her being overwhelmed and exhausted, when in reality she was addicted to pills.

Ah I don't follow any of them on social media, so do only get the mere 10min a week of their life, so I tend to no judge quite as harshly (minus Farah).

I actually gained a tiny smidgen of respect for her after that. Bentley is a boy growing up in rural Tennessee--he gets spanked sometimes, and so do all of his friends. I'm no fan of spanking, but I didn't think Maci did anything inappropriate, given the context. She has said that she took him to the bathroom for privacy, and also because she knew the cameras couldn't film in there. I viewed it as her putting Bentley's need for discipline ahead of her "image." Rather than let him act up because she wanted to look like a cool mom, she gave him warnings, and then took him to the bathroom for a spanking.

I liked Maci a little in the beginning (she was kind of insufferable during her 16&P episode, but beyond that...) and she seemed like the best mom, working to put Bentley's needs first. Then she started getting paid, and went through a few serious boyfriends, and moved Bentley all over the place, including a house with a ton of roommates. Other people hate her because she totally puts forth an air that she's just a mom dealing with the "stress" in her life, yet all the stress is self-imposed... If she were truly "stressed out," she could easily solve her problems by dropping Taylor's tshirt business, having a simple wedding locally, staying in one home, and investing in actual birth control. I still think Bentley has the best chance at being a normal kid and successful adult though, but a lot of that has to do with his grandparents. Both sets look like really great people, despite the two little shits they raised.

And getting pregnant twice and acting like, "Uh derrrr, how could that happen? I wasn't using BC but I don't know how that would happen." The girl was a spokesperson for safe sex.

And let's not forget that she drank for at least the first 4-5 months of her third pregnancy. By the third go around you KNOW you are pregnant.

Ryan is a jerk and definitely a failure to launch situation but out of all the people on the show, I would say he is likely the only one who will be semi successful as he comes from an closer to upper middle class lifestyle as evidenced by his parents and by the fact that he knew enough not to have additional kids when he was young.
