Nah. Heard worse from parents and players. Can we fire loser parents? That would be helpful.

How about calling a referee the "N-word"? Both are immutable characteristics. Maybe you should be fired, yeah? Some of the kids playing for that coach may well be gay. How do you think that makes them feel?

And if you have heard worse from people and did nothing you are a part of the problem. "It's not my business'" equates to being a coward.

Obviously inexcusable! But if this did indeed happen, a report should have been filled out and submitted to GFR, USYS and VSA that way it would be on record.

It's very clear that the coach and or staff member commenting on this board exemplifies why this club has so many issues with their staff. It's a bad work culture and top brass defend undefendable actions.

If you’re talking about GFR you’re absolutely correct - they have made some mistakes but seem to be headed in the right direction with their new ED. It’s only been a month or so but she seems like a major improvement so far. Not sure why RS put up with GD and some others as long as he did other than I guess they had winning teams?

GFR parents are unintentionally hilarious.

VRSC now paying a professional or person to deflect the criticism away from them onto GF. Hiring Gus is part of the strategy. Unfortunately it will backfire on them as no credible player wants to be coached by this guy. Maybe some of the younger players will stay, but no older player is going to put up with him.

Its clearly either GD himself or someone who runs VRSC.

Why would the 2011’s and older NOT want a coach like him? (He wins??) I just saw he won USL-Y nationals with the 2010 girls in Tampa a month ago? Apparently that team had really strong 2011’s and even a 2012.

Even if true that he wins (I have no idea), that is not most parents or kids top priority nor should it be.

He sounds like a d-bag.

Going to try and be polite. Yes you’d be a d-bag if your child plays REC and your coach is acting like every game is the Super Bowl. Once you get out of the development leagues and move to the GA or ECNL…..YES creating a winning culture is pretty key. Learning to be a winner sets up life lessons. GD doesn’t hand out 8th place trophies and I’m pretty sure he was hired to create “winning culture” and “winning mentality.” If you want to learn to braid hair on the sideline and learn kart wheels on his team, good luck. So if winning is a d-bag move. I’ll take d-bags all day.

So you have no idea if he wins yet you automatically think he sounds like a d-bag because of what people post on an anonymous forum. LOL.

I’ll disagree with you some. Winning is great, but not if it the coach is mentally abusive towards his or her own players. That is where a parent needs to draw the line. Problem is some parents are snowflakes and get criticism confused with abuse.

I like this constructive conversation. Agree, “mentally abusive” sounds whole heartedly wrong. Criticism is not abuse. I guess my question is if this coach has been around for 20+ yrs (soccer community) wouldn’t any of these dealing of total misconduct that are being blasted have a paper trail?? Sure he’s had red cards, but wouldn’t his licensing be revoked?? Again nothing adds up to any truths. It’s sad that people make stuff up.
