We've been hearing for months how Trump is eating right into the Latino vote - people here have been crowing how there are hardly any Latinos left to vote for Harris, Trump's made so many inroads.

But on top of that - what you really don't need to do in the closing days of your campaign is tell a big group of voters that you hate them and think they are garbage. Remember how that worked out for Hillary and the deplorables? (And she was right, but she shouldn't have said it.) There are substantial groups of Puerto Rican voters in swing states - and in Florida, which is why Rick Scott is freaking out right now.

Trump didn’t say anything about Puerto Ricans.

Trumps’s rally was a huge success, so liberals and their allies in the media have attempted to sully and put a negative spin on his rally.

trump is always above the fray...he had someone else do the dirty work and it will cost him tens of thousands of not millions of votes, particularly in swing states, Florida, Arizona and Texas.

Your post is hyperbolic. You liberals are always claiming whatever your outrage of the day is against Trump will cost him the election, yet the polls keep getting better for him and worse for Kamala.

even Trump is trying to distance himself from it

If Trump thinks it is bad, then it is bad, and I bet now, all the MAGAs defending it for the past 20 pages will change their tune.

I don't think anyone was defending it per se. Just pointing out that he's an insult comedian by trade that specializes in celebrity roasts. I mentioned on a previous comment that I wouldn't have booked him for this lol.

Such a bunch of liars. What losers they all are.

I know, right? Why on earth would the NYPD have drones, robots, and helicopters over the area if there was no crowd to speak of? Those silly cops.

NEW YORK -- Thousands of people, including from other parts of the country, descended on Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday afternoon for former President Donald Trump's campaign rally.

The NYPD said it had drones over the area, robots, and a helicopter, as well as antiterrorism units outside monitoring the situation to keep everyone safe.

Of course he was going to get heavy attendance at his Rally of Hate. He's going to get plenty of votes from that crowd obviously.

It’s forking true. RFK Jr is insane, but his work on Vieques was the only time in my life that a person with some power tried to point out how the island has been abused.

I also posted how devastating it is to me to see how accepted this rhetoric is. But you’re a bad person, so yeah, mock me. Second verse, same as the first.

Vieques in Puerto Rico, you mean? I hear it's just a pile of garbage to the people at this rally.

Yes, sh!thead. That same one that I visited with my family who live on the big island. You’re an abusive c word POS for repeating the rhetoric, because I offended you by noting how devastating it is to witness the overall, historical and contemporary treatment of Puerto Ricans by the US. How you take that to be supportive of Trump or his fascist rally is beyond me. F you and I hope you get your face caved in someday soon.

dude, it's time to get offline

Are you recapping your hysterical live spin? You're kind of coming across as desperate right now.

Why don’t you post pictures of the Trump swastika signs pp says exist?

we are waiting.

Keep waiting. Nobody GAF. You're clearly supporting Trump, so let's not pretend like the truth ever mattered to you.

So you've got nothing. Just lies and bluster, as usual. Thanks for admitting it.

I didn't admit anything. I'm not PP. I'm just pointing out how hypocritical you are about suddenly caring about the truth. Thanks for admitting that.

Everyone on the podium was invited and vetted. This guy made these statements over top the "Trump/Vance" banner. The damage is done, and they won't be able to walk it back. Ariana Grande has more followers than there are voters in the US....and even she tweeted out an admonition of it. This was a HUGE own goal.

Aside, nobody cares if a campaign spokesman walks it back. Trump didn't.

Anonymous wrote:Folks I am watching this thing live and it's just weird. I don't mean that people are saying things I disagree with -- that's a given. The vibe is off. It doesn't feel good. It doesn't feel like enthusiasm. It feels like blind rage mixed with fake bravado. It just feels aggro. And the crowd isn't just mostly white -- it is dominated by men. Like by a lot. It's weird to have a political rally that is this skewed.

A lot of the speakers have really extensive and weird looking plastic surgery. And not just the women or the Trumps. Tucker looks pinched and tucked in an uncomfortable way. Elon looks like an alien. It's uncanny valley stuff. If it was 1998 and you saw footage of this you'd be like "what is wrong with their faces -- why would anyone do this."

Regarding the "substance" they just repeat the same easily disproven lies over and over. A key talking point is that "they" tried to kill Trump. The implication is that of course the Democrats did it but he was shot at by a registered Republican with mental health issues.

The racism isn't just dog whistles. It's just open and contemptuous. They are saying that democrats are trying to "replace" Americans with immigrants. The comedian with all the racist lines was egregious but it's in line with the rest of the rally. They use words like "invasion" and "lowlifes" to describe immigrants and people who live in cities (while also praising NYC and claiming Trump "made" the city). It's very creepy.

Anyway Trump is talking now and he has less energy than most of the speakers who preceded him. He speaks in this dull monotone. The only person less convincing was melania who appeared to read her speech without comprehending it.

I just don't understand what is compelling about this unless you've just given up on life. It's offensive yes. But it's also just a bummer and extremely depressing.

I’m an immigrant and I’m not for open boarders. But how any immigrant could vote for Trump, esp. us non Anglo ones, baffles me. The writing is on the wall. He means you too, people. Is it denial? Leopards Ate My Face syndrome incoming for these people…

No one is for open borders. If there were open borders, then interdictions and apprehensions would be down to zero, and there would be no deportations. Instead, all of those are up under Biden.

+1 And a lot of democrats have been calling for a LONG time to fix our immigration system so that instead of having lots of people sneaking into the country for jobs or to escape political unrest we could have processes in place that would allow people in on work visas and keep track of them and also place reasonable limits on how many come in at once.

A huge part of what is broken with our immigration system is that a lot of illegal immigration should actually just be legal and controlled. And if you do that then you can actually take advantage of what is great about immigration while also controlling what can be bad about it.

But whenever we try to address this issue we get locked in a debate with people who just hate immigrants. If the Immigration bill had passed it would have made some strides in this direction but it got shut down by Trumpers in Congress (after they'd supported it!) even though it included tons of provisions for limiting and controlling immigration.

Trump and his party don't actually want to solve the immigration crisis. They want to use it get people to vote for them. They love the crowds of migrants at the border because they can turn them into a bogeyman to scare people with. Once you actually talk about solving the problem they get bored.

Democrats are NOT in favor of "open borders" and all the crap that Republicans claim. Democrats want reforms to fix a lot of the problems. Remember, it was Trump's loyalists in Congress who shut down the Bipartisan Border Bill and then lied about it claiming it was a bad bill when in fact it addressed many things their own House bill didn't.

Democrats want solutions. Republicans just want to grandstand on the problem and hurl blame everywhere without actually fixing it.

Any Republican voting for Republicans because they think they have the answers and will fix it are kidding themselves. That's already been proven.

DP. Let's not forget that the Biden/Harris administration presided over the WORST border crisis in our nation's history - unprecedented. And what caused it? Joe Biden reversing all of Trump's border protocols that were working. And then, Biden (and Harris) lied to Americans by claiming there was "nothing" they could do about it. Nothing at all, they said. Until 3 1/2 years later, after millions of illegal immigrants had been released into the U.S. Only then did Joe Biden decide maybe he *could* sign an EO of his own, making asylum much harder to qualify for. And what do you know - the numbers went down almost immediately.

So, you can continue this utter garbage about "Democrats want solutions," but Americans are well aware of the mess Biden/Harris created and then neglected to clean up for almost the entirety of their administration.

You sound like you may be doomed to repeat history class
Here's a description of the beginning of the actual 1939 Nazi rally in Madison Square Garden:
The rally began at 8 pm[3] with a rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner", sung by Margarete Rittershaush. Next, James Wheeler-Hill, national secretary of the Bund, opened the night with the statement that "if George Washington were alive today, he would be friends with Adolf Hitler."[9] Calling upon his fellow Americans, Wheller-Hill challenged Bund members to restore America to the 'True Americans' while condemning President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Secretary of the Interior, Harold L. Ickes for attacking Nazi officials.
