Trump's Madison Square Garden rally

Trump thinks it was a "love fest" just like Jan 6 "love fest' when the maga-t-s attached US capitol.

That’s a fair point. To each his/her own and let’s hope for the best next Wednesday morning no matter what side you are on.

Its true - none of this bickering means a damn thing. Go out and vote and we'll just have to deal with whatever happens.

JD agrees with all of it, as does Donald when you consider that he hasn’t bothered to say anything.

He’s not going to apologize. His campaign vetted it and told the comedian he could call Harris a c*nt. That’s where they drew the line.

Ah, you’re going with the old “anonymous sources” and “campaign staffer,” I see. And from a far-left source. But sure, very believable.

CNN reports that the c*unt joke was nixed by the campaign.

Which means that the rest was read through and APPROVED before the comedian walked on stage!

Oh noes!!! *clutching pearls*

This fake outrage is getting old.

Especially, because the campaign notes that much of his act was ad libbed. They still made a big mistake allowing him to perform, but it’s not like they approved his racial jokes.

So ad libbed all the offensive smacks against their prospective voters and threats of violence were on the teleprompter across multiple speakers!

Still spewing lies. How unsurprising.

What will you do if Trump wins?

It'll just be four years at most. Likely less than that given his age, weight, and mental decline. If Trump wins, I'll be comforted in knowing that his political time has finally come to an end. It's his last brief chapter. He's soon going to be out of all our lives forever, and the country is going to be so much better off for it.

You know he's never going to be "out of all of our lives forever," right? He will be in our faces and meddling in our politics until his last breath. He has an insatiable desire for attention, even if it's negative attention. The bigger issue is that there are millions of Americans who are receptive to his style and messages and who may latch on to another unprincipled demagogue like him in the future. They're not going away. They alive amongst us.

He's a fat, exhausted male who is 78-years old. It's rare you see somebody like that make it into their 80's. The average age of death for an American male is 75 years-old. We'll see what the Republicans decide they want to become, but his time is nearly over so he'll not have a direct say in it.

Pretty much all the speakers they brought up condemned "others". Look, roll your eyes at the comedian commentary...literally nobody GAF.

People are offended because the "jokes" were told at an official political rally for a presidential candidate. The comments were offensive, not funny.

It was not a “joke”. It was a racist tirade.

Jon Stewart thinks the guy is funny fwiw https://x.com/piersmorgan/status/185123092544...kHaGKqgGqkHvzMN6JuFg

He’s had roast jokes that are funny. I hate Trump and I can even admit that - and that’s all Stewart was saying when you actually watch the show. Doesn’t mean having him at a political rally was in any way a good idea.

Of course it wasn’t a good idea. It was a terrible idea but come on the outrage is ridiculous and predictably used as a political baseball bat by the dems and I don’t blame them. The cnn/msnbc journalists performance act is over the top.

His “jokes” at the rally were indeed, awful. But I agree - the outrage act is so overdone.

So what's the alternative? Keep sanewashing this and hope it just disappears? This is real.

Are you kidding me? This is what MAGA loves, and they've been doing this for years. It's not just distasteful or in bad judgement, it's Standard Operating Procedure. This isn't Lenny Bruce making cousin jokes or George Carlin talking about the Seven Words You Can't Say On TV, this is bigotry disguised as humor.

You don't get to tell the victims of a racist statement that they don't get to be offended. You also don't get to tell people who care about the victims of the racist statement to not feel offended.

No one is telling anyone anything. Have you watched Kill Tony's shows? He makes his living off being offensive. That being said, hiring him for a campaign event was not a good idea. Why is this so difficult?

You seem to belive he was hired *despite* his offensive shows.

It highlights his and his teams' incompetence in the ability to make good decisions.

He has a popular YouTube channel and a comedy club where famous comics come through and judge aspiring stand up comics. People of all shapes, sizes, etc are participating and yes it is offensive as hell. That’s the point and that’s why he’s popular in the stand up community. It was probably a bro thing in the campaign and hired him to do the first act. Again it was a bad idea, probably not a good idea to have frat minded dudes booking speaking slots.
