Trump today and MAGA still claiming Harris never worked at McDonald’s

Either you're fine with politicians lying or you're not. You cannot have it both ways.

If Trump/Vance saying Haitians eats dogs doesn't appall you enough to not vote for them, which brought total chaos to Springfield, why does this much less significant "lie" matter, when it doesn't incite violence and threats to citizens?

And the first time you told a soul was 5 years ago?

+1.

This is a stupid argument, but let's face it: Kamala's story about working at McDonald's simply does not stand up.

I had my first real job when I was 16, in 1985. If I had to prove now that I worked for 1.5 years at that little department store in North Carolina, I could do it.

Then the last 40 years must have been really boring for you. Didn’t you do anything in your late teens or twenties? Most people have more interesting things to remember about being sixteen.

Very odd response, but happy to answer your question. Of course I did many things in my late teens and twenties, and I have many fun and interesting things to remember about being sixteen. I guess I'm totally missing your point. Wasn't your first job memorable? All I said is that I could prove that I worked there for 18 months or so if I had to.

How would you prove it?

My sisters and brother could confirm it.

Numerous friends and a first boyfriend from high school could confirm it.

I still have, somewhere, the little plastic nametag that said "Miss Smith."

A teacher who who wrote my college recommendation letter could confirm it.

I remember the names of some of the other people who worked there. Granted, most of them are probably dead now, but that could be verified.

But when would your provide the proof? You're relying on finding that name tag? Who keeps their name tags from jobs four decades ago? I guess "you"...

Not PP but it would be easy for me to provide the names of people I worked with for my summer college jobs or at the very least friends who were around me at the time who could attest to it. This isn’t that hard.

Your friends attesting to something is "proof". Ehhhh, ok...

Except that in the case of Kamala, we can't even get that. Believe me, if just one person came forward and confirmed that they worked with her at McDs, this whole thing would be put to rest.

Like hell it would, which is why no one is interested.

It’s not a lack of interest, it’s that those people don’t exist.

Snopes tried hard to find someone who could back Kamala up and couldn’t.

And she was raised Hindu and still living with her mom during this alleged job, but her fav meal was a 1/4 pounder beef cheese burger. Interesting.

“Harris first mentioned her brief stint on the fryer when she joined the picket line with fast food workers in Las Vegas in 2019 and during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in April. (Her order? “Quarter pounder with cheese and fries,” and barbecue sauce for dipping if she gets McNuggets).”

I think she’s a compulsive liar who will say literally anything and got away with it because California media is controlled by the puppet masters who handed her a career. High on her own supply.

Do you also call Trump a compulsive liar or you just pretend he doesn't lie?

Yes, Trump is clearly a compulsive liar. Happy now? So much for the moral high ground. What else is Harris lying about?

Biden’s decline. Her plans for the border. A lot.

Meh, not as much nor as bad as Trumpy Trump.

If I have to pick between two liars, going w/ Harris.

Doesn’t matter. The point isn’t who you are voting for, it’s that they are both liars.

First they tell her to phone in a video to the charity event using an SNL skit that was embarrassing when it first ran 30 years ago. Now you have the October surprise with a side of fries.

This is the danger of shoving an unproven candidate forward at the last minute. Ideally you want someone that's gone through the wringer a time or two before you run them for President.

I'm not worried about her credentials, though. As I stated, I'm worried about why her team keeps letting her get outplayed.

Memes matter. There were some great photos and great, positive memes that came out of this. She should've done this.

I worked at a local supermarket in high school. I know the first names and high school attended of most of my coworkers from that time (wouldn’t be difficult to track them down with by high school and first name- confirm with yearbook photo). We were teenagers- of course we talked and knew each other. I also remember my manager’s name, and many other people from the community would’ve seen me working there at some point (I can think of a good number of them- teachers, people from church or friends of my parents at the time- and they would also not be hard to track down). Not to mention my family, friends, boyfriend at the time, and so on. If I were running for President (especially knowing I’m from that city/state and claiming to have worked there), most all of those people would definitely remember me!

College jobs more friend-based (as I moved away from home) but similar scenario. Since a lot of coworkers were students as well- they would be super easy to track down just grabbing a yearbook. And I remember my managers’ first names and certainly where these places were located.

Are some people just not social at all? I don’t even have the best memory around and this would be so easy for me.

Trump has done this before and knows how to play the part, it was brilliant
