Laden and his intentions). I remember how after 9/11 I thought of several ways the US was extremely vulnerable to more attacks (I don’t want to highlight here to give anyone ideas!) those remain vulnerabilities. I hope people realize that the Muslim hate incidents and continued funding to Israelto kill more people leaves us very vulnerable here at home! This is not just a conflict on foreign shores. It can very easily come here and harm us.

Um, obviously.

But the reality is that even if we cut off Israel completely, Muslim extremists would still still hate America. Why? They hate all westerners and our western ways.

ICYMI: anyone bananas enough to kill in the name of religion hates all of us normal people. They basically only accept those who adhere to their special breed of religious fanaticism. Moreover, they don’t need to sneak into the country because some of them are already here.

Israel has had many people who kill in the name of religion.

Don't forget that their current minister of national security is a religious extremist who has repeatedly praised Baruch Goldstein, who massacred 29 innocent people and wounded over 100 more in the name of religion.

Shortly before the murder of Rabin, Ben-Gvir stole the car ornament from Rabin's car and said "We got to his car, and we'll get to him too."

And he has an actual conviction for supporting terrorism.

Are you American?

I am.

And my biggest concern is my safety and the safety of my country…America.

My prior post focused on the threat of religious extremism and terrorism—primarily the threat to America and the West. Are you not worried about that very real threat? I find it interesting that you seem more concerned with Israel. As an American, I don’t have any fear of Israel or Israelis attacking America. I do worry about getting drawn into yet another war in the part of the world where countries use religion to manipulate and control people…and where basic human rights aren’t a thing…and where barbaric beliefs and practices are routine…and terrorism is a good way for poor men to make a living…and the common enemy is Israel followed by the USA and the West writ large.

To be clear: nobody enjoys the ridiculous nonsense that fuels continuous bloody wars over there. But as an American, I don’t have a dog in this fight. I wish they would evolve and be better. Until then, my priority remains my safety and that of America and the West. YMMV.

DP You’re literally the poster child for the ignorant, uninformed American who regurgitates, chapter and verse, a set of feelings that have been cultivated through coordinated Israeli and American Zionist propaganda for decades.

Did you know that Israel and the IDF killed more Americans - intentionally, lest you get get confused - in one naval attack in the 1960s than have been killed by Palestinians and Syrians COMBINED across every year of human history? Didn’t think so.

Go back to your bowl of spoon-fed propaganda.

Israel is single handedly avenging all the American soldiers murdered by Hezbollah in the 1980s.

The fact that there are Americans who take their side is baffling.

Oh right… the people who hate Israel hate America too

I hope that is not true.

It is true. There was a time long ago where Lebanese liked Israelis more than Palestinians. They didn’t understand Palestinian objection to partition/Jewish immigration and The religious drama as they live with a split multifaith unity government and had many French and Armenian expats.

Israel doesn’t know how to be nice to people that are nice to them. Lebanon famously abstained from the 1948, 1967 Arab Israeli war much to the criticism of their Arab League neighbors who mockingly called them Switzerland and blamed Lebanon for being weak. Some people believed the war outcome could’ve been very very different for Israel if Lebanon invaded from the North. They never fought each other till the 80s.

Israel owes lots of its earlier security before the U.S. came in to protect them to Lebanon but it seems like Israel never realized that. They want a regional war/gang up at this point. Do they think they can handle an attack from
The North, the South/Gaza, and the West (WB or Iran) all at the same time? Netanyahu is acting erratically and foolishly for political points

This is literally all bullshit.

Israel has not attacked Lebanon or the Lebanese people. Israel has undertaken precise action against the terrorists in Hezbollah who were actively plotting against Israel with massive support from Iran.

Unlike Gaza where Hamas enjoys broad support, the majority of people in Lebanon detest Hezbollah and the threat they’ve always presented. I mean, who wants to live under oppressive religious dictates?

Do you know any Lebanese? I assure you that your view that this was a "precise action" is one that thethat the Lebanese are not celebrating. My friend's cousin just had a baby and installed solar in their home. She has thrown out the baby monitor and unplugged the solar panels (she reported there was a solar rooftop blown up, not sure if that is true or rumor but she believes it) so they are living without electricity. The regular every day non religious fanatic Lebanese are terrified.

I know Lebanese people here with family abroad.

ICYMI: that country has been a mess forever, with blackouts and runs on banks, etc. Plus: terrorism.

I’m sure folks over there are worried about technology…probably the same way Americans worried about planes after 9/11.

But the pagers that exploded were issued to Hezbollah. Ditto for the solar panels. Unless your friend is living with a terrorist, they should be fine…just like the people I know over there.

DP

I marvel at your blase “should be OK”. People like you are evil, believing that others should accept living in a world where they have to trust a fundamentally immoral Israeli government to decide their fate … “should be OK”.

You should live under those conditions.

Once products enter the marketplace there’s always going to be a secondary market.

Tired of Israeli violence and never-ending, self-serving propaganda. Don’t want to hear it and certainly don’t want to fund the psychotic, power-hungry killer Jews in the region.

Are you American or are you posting from abroad?

You sound like a troll. Your unhinged rantings aren’t grounded in reality. And your fixation on Israel is just so weird.

Np. Agree. I’ve reported.

I didn't care for the second sentence, but the first one was reasonable "Once products enter the marketplace there’s always going to be a secondary market." In other words, even if the devices were issued first to Hezbollah militants (unclear that they weren't issued to people working in the Hezbollah political wing which is legal in Lebanon), they could be resold to others not associated with harm to Israel.

Despite anti Israel propaganda, that little country is fighting for all of us who believe in Western values. We owe them a debt of gratitude. They didn’t ask to fight this war, and they have the right to defend themselves.

Nope. I love and care about America and cannot understand why it's not more clear to people that Israel's actions in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, and Lebanon are just stirring up more hatred towards America/Americans and putting us all at greater risk. I really really hope our government is on top of threat monitoring.

Sigh.

Unless they are living with a terrorist, they will be fine. Why? Because Israel has carefully targeted Hezbollah in their actions over the last two weeks. Heck, I bet the Lebanese government is covertly working with Israel to contain Hezbollah. Nobody likes them…because they are terrorists who work with Iran.

ICYMI: thwarting terrorism involves playing offense rather than defense.

Western values are worth protecting, even if it means military action.

What’s your solution? Just let the terrorists have what they want?

Just read an accounting on X of the terrorists that were killed or injured. The most successful anti-terror op in world history. Omg.
Astoundingly successful:

A staggering amount of casualties.
Much higher than I have seen reported anywhere else. Less than 1% non-combatant fatalities/casualties.

A highly successful operation that will go down in History the same way as the Trojan Horse has. This was an awe inspiring master-stroke almost exclusively against the worst sorts of Human beings who have ever lived. Anyone that opposes Terrorism should be celebrating.

In reading through the accounts of who was killed or maimed, many senior Hez are listed as Iranian. It seems Hezbollah is being run directly by Iran. Without Iran’s money Hez and Hamas, and the Houthis all go away. And so, Iranians - across the world - also celebrate this grim beeper pager operation victory.

Unless they are in a grocery store or walking next to someone that Israeli AI has designated as a threat.

Well that's on the terrorist then, isn't it?
Similar to how Hezbollah fires their missles from resedential neighborhoods.
