At this point- yes. A spouse can say as a condition to stay in this marriage after cheating you get a vasectomy. Totally fair. Otherwise, no reconciliation. We all took hormones and messed up our bodies to prevent pregnancy —/they can get a 5-min laser snip that is seriously no big deal. |
I know quite a few men that got vasectomies after cheating was discovered. |
| I love me some Dave. But wow did he spectacularly mess up. Feeling bad for his wife and kids and wishing them healing and peace. |
If he was out banging randos —damn straight. Otherwise divorce. Why stake family and kids’ inheritance with some bastard child. Proved he can’t be trusted so snip-snip |
Post-discovery is the time to get everything u want—post-nup, vasectomy, etc., most will do anything to save the marriage/family that they want. Power shifts. |
Stop making this about inhertance as no one is intitiled to inhertance and if they divorce his wife should get 1/2 of everything. He is a serial cheater, so he can blame this on medical, which is really mental health but he's been a long time alcoholic if you listened to past interviews, etc. |
If you believe the DeuxMoi blind, he is receiving medical help for a number of issues. So yes — she should require that he go through some pretty intense therapy and rehab. |
Excellent point. If the wife is smart, she insists on the vasectomy, gets the post-nup, and then divorces him one year later. |
Do you have a cheating philandering husband? It can be a condition for not divorcing. |
Yea I don’t see this either. Statistically it’s actually pretty rare. Only 2% of hetero couples in America have more than a 15 year age gap. Around 90% are within about 8 years of each other. Celebrities tend to be outliers here of course so this probably doesn’t apply to the rock stars of the world but the average wealthy private school dad is not starting over at 55 with a woman of childbearing age. |
| Do you think mom will be outed? I want to know whonitnis |
lol we all do I think it’ll eventually come out. You know this is paparazzi priority numéro uno right now. |
| You know, I’m glad his mom isn’t here to see this. She seemed like a nice woman. |
She would have loved him anyway and probably would be happy to have another grandbaby. |
Yeah, I have to chime in here. Agree with this poster that a lot of us know our dave grohl lore. He actually had a really interesting start. His dad was a Republican strategist and his mom was a public school teacher. He didn’t grow up poor -it was pretty solid middle-class childhood but his dad was largely absent and he was raised by a single mom. He taught himself the drums using pillows. He dropped out of school at 17 due to likely undiagnosed ADHD (this was the 80s after all) and a lot of pot smoking. He saw a flyer in a store that a band he admired was looking for a drummer, got the gig. Shortly after joined Nirvana which love them or hate them they absolutely had a huge impact on music for a generation. After Kurt’s death, if he didn’t do another thing he probably still would be pretty legendary and fairly wealthy, but then he went out and formed the Foo Fighters, he is the lead, singer, writes the lyrics snd composes the music for that very successful and prolific band. It’s pretty impressive to start as a drummer, then find huge success as the leader of another band. He also has a number of side bands and he produces and collaborates with a lot of other artists. He’s such a rock god that people get a kick out of the fact that he has had a long-standing marriage and he is very vocal about loving being a dad. You can say he has great PR but he obviously has a great stage presence night after night and connects with fans. Unlike most bands that do big tours when they want to promote an album, the Foo Fighters are truly a touring band and do an insane amount for shows for huge audience year after year. There are actually quite a few people who were very pissed at Dave after Taylor Hawkins died because they said the schedule was relentless and blamed him for not letting up. But the point is a lot of people get a lot of exposure to Dave on stage and while it may be an act, it’s not just behind the scenes PR. He’s a showman and people feel like they know him. I think people also like that the Foo Fighters never seem to take themselves too seriously. They did a goofy menthos commercial years ago, their tour rider or whatever it’s called got out years ago, and it was so over the top - It was just clear they don’t take themselves too seriously and recognize how good they have it. It’s also petty clear he’s an alcoholic and a workaholic. The touring and all of the side projects… it’s an insane amount of work. He likely numbed the pain of Taylor and his mom’s death with alcohol and work. And now the cracks are showing. |
