Campaign spokesperson Laura Brounstein was talking in a private call via Zoom to members of the grassroots group Jewish Women for Joe and other donors from the Jewish community who said they were “unable to sleep” over fears Biden is unable to beat former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

According to Jewish Insider, which received a leaked recording of the call, Brounstein began by painting a picture of Biden as a dynamic and fully engaged president, describing him as a “busy, in control, crushing it.”

She said: “Obviously the debate sucked [but] he came back so quickly, and he showed himself to be the thoughtful, powerful, again, vigorous leader he has been throughout his presidency.”

However, in a further revelation, the campaign spokesperson shifted focus and, admitting that “aging is progressive”, focused on the behind-the-scenes support structure surrounding Biden as key to the next administration.

Brounstein said: “The brain trust of the Biden presidency is who we want running the country” before naming First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff as “people that we want involved in our future.”

Until you have that miracle candidate you have nothing and have only made Biden's problems even worse with all of your loud hysteria and circular firing squad.

Exactly. At this point any of the top 50 democratic politicians in this country would be more convincing than this sick old man. There is plenty of time until November for the new candidate to become better known. Trump should not be hard to beat.

Several suggestions have already been proposed, in this thread and all over the internet. Including the Vice President. We are screwed whether Biden stays in or drops out, but possibly have a fighting chance with a younger candidate.

Kamala Harris, whom you clearly despise, since she's the obvious candidate and you're still asking who is available and competent.

She is competent.
Biden funds will transfer naturally. It's a huge campaign war chest she can tap into immediately.
Many Biden supporters prefer her, and many Biden supporters who don't will transfer their loyalties to beat Trump.
She will easily out-debate Trump, who is himself in decline. The only reason he looked energetic was in comparison to Biden.
She will get the female vote.
She will get the Black and Asian vote.
She will likely successfully appeal to the Hispanic vote.

She's a shoo-in, so incredibly obvious that you can't see it, because apparently you have some hang-ups.
