If rev is getting an influx of girls teams from FCVs failures, then GA seems very possible in the near term.

But they won’t know they are getting that influx for another couple of months. Is GA just going to take Christian’s word for it? I think this needs to happen this week, or it’s wait until next year.

FCV is just a bunch of stooges getting their paycheck from a sports facility whose owners know nothing about soccer.

They are getting an influx from the non-GA teams. GA players will likely try to follow BP or stick with FCV. I know everyone wants to pretend that VDA doesn’t have room for many players, but ML will make room. A lot of the chest thumpin’ VDA parents are going to be pissed when their DD is Part-Time w/ VSA.

Soccer parents don't sit idle when their coaches are fired or resign over politics in-between seasons. Other coaches also don't want to sit around to get fired mid season. The next week will be fun to watch, since there are tons of clubs who want to add teams, and there's just enough time to.

STJs admin basically lit the house on fire. Usually you'd let the season play out and staff up replacements for next year. That said STJs already has the players money, so from a dollars game everything is fine. The health of that club just tanked in every other category though.

How are they supposed to "play out the season" when you have no coaching staff after March/April?

The coaches were going to finish out the contract year until admin triggered an earlier departure. They're literally just cleaning house at this point

The new director of soccer will have their hands full at this point. Or didn’t trigger some of the moving on earlier?

We were told the new coaches are starting this month. Existing coaches will be there for another month or two for transition

Now they are for sure! Some would argue they were before these departures, but at least CC and BP and others had a body of work to show they were getting results.

What exactly can they do now to stop this after the cluster they've created? Many families brought their DDs to FCV due to the body of work of getting girls into college soccer. But that was ALL because of BP and CC. Now they're pitching us with the everything is going to be alright and everyone is replaceable BS. Gimme a break. They cleaned house. This club is now in rebuilding mode. Simple as that, despite how they will try to sell it

Does anyone know what all these changes mean for the younger age programs (rec and travel)? My understanding was that St James/FCV had set up some programs in Chantilly/Herndon area. Will those continue to exist this spring and next fall?

Any word on DR? Is he staying, going back to LS, or joining the German alliance at VRSC? Poor guy has had a rough year, first the MP situation at GMU and now this.

Why would GA players stick with FCV when none of their coaches will be there? Seems more logical for them to follow BP, CC/MJ/ED (if VRSC gets GA and a critical mass of FCV players follow them), or try to take an ecnl roster spot. Sticking with FCV seems more likely for non-GA players who were not on CC’s or BP’s teams and are less interested in their college placement experience.
