Those are some of the top teams in the country. Revolution is currently zero. |
I'm pretty sure you missed the sarcasm in there. LOL |
People are questioning the location next FALL, not this SPRING. |
| Eric Davey has resigned as well. He will finish out the spring season and then he's gone. |
| Fcv. Run. Away. |
im happy… Hansen park will be liberated again… for pickup games if Loudoun doesn’t swoop in |
loudoun is somewhere with glistening fangs and a watering mouthful plotting to pounce and take facility. Muhahahahahahha (evil laughter) Seriously tho i hope he is ready. The mean ecnl kiddos already letting it be known in middle school to each other that they don’t respect those teams. |
Are there any coaches left at FCV??? |
He was a decent coach, in our experience, but a strange guy. Wonder if he'll follow CC over to Revolution with a lot of the other FCV coaches? God knows they could use them. |
| FCV is finished as a top program, for years if not forever. One club will disproportionately benefit from FCV’s current talent (players and coaches), and it is not VDA. |
What makes you think that most FCV players/parents won't stick with TSJ (assuming that they don't do something crazy like announce that all FCV practices will be held in Springfield)? CC can certainly guarantee PT over at Revolution since their existing teams suck. But he can't guarantee that in six months or a year, somebody with a grassroots license and an enormous ego won't be "coaching" them. Conversely, BP can't guarantee PT for large numbers of FCV players at VDA because they already have full rosters. Sure, the top players in each age group could probably displace the less talented players at VDA but that won't be the case for entire teams. And I doubt that TSJ will sit idly by and allow either to actively recruit away entire teams of players. |
They better hop to it, because at least some of the coaches leaving for Rev have already had ‘unofficial’ meetings with parents to recruit them away. |
What’s the recruiting pitch? Coaching at Revolution might be okay, but when the dust settles I don’t see many people leaving to play NCSL at a club that’s more focused on their “school”. If they are getting GA they should announce it ASAP and then maybe there is a real decision to be made. |
tick tick tick |
| Seems strange to me that SYC knows they’re getting GA but if Rev is getting it, they don’t know yet? If they are, then you would think all new clubs were told at the same time, so why wouldn’t they announce it too? It is hard to believe Christian went there for NCSL and EDP though so something has to be coming. I just doubt it’s GA at this point. Revolution doesn’t have the resume and even with a new director I can’t see it. |
