Interesting about GA is that the application window for 24-25 is closed now. So I guess VRSC could be waiting in some kind evaluation window before announcing membership? |
Because they are still GA. Following BP is the logical move, but if that is off the table, the choice is stay put or move to another ECNL/GA program. Going to another program may work for some, but for the majority of FCV players, they can’t - it at least shouldn’t - assume they’ll start or earn quality minutes at another club…so they will probably be best served to stay put. |
| If Christian and/or the other FCV coaches that are moving over to Revolution can convince a substantial number of FCV GA players to follow them, then there's at least a somewhat legitimate argument to be made for the club being accepted into the GA. But unless and until that happens, on what possible basis does the GA accept Revolution as it is today? On a promise that they're "going to be really good in the future"? |
Right. Not happening this year. |
| I honestly can't see any of the girls "following" BP anywhere. My bet they start driving to McLean. They will happily trade VT for Georgetown. |
| Prediction: Eric Davey to VDA (following BP) |
This makes the most sense of the scenarios presented. Nobody wants to drive to Springfield or Woodbridge if McLean is in the backyard with strong teams and coaching staff. |
ED original FCV. BP not original FCV. CC original FCV. |
Why specifically McLean? Ya'll forget that there's an ECNL club literally a stone's throw away? Some of the girls can and will go there and claim some of those roster spots in the fall. |
And that club needs help at the 2011 and 2010 levels |
Yeah, NVA and VDA make more sense than Union. |
| Yeah why would people go to McLean over VDA or even NVA? VDA now has the most impressive coaching staff overall top to bottom. |
Which coaches, ED? I assume we will hear in our town hall Teams call… |
Hmmm, bet they'll be serving up some extra specially delicious kool-aid on that call. Surely they're going to try and rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic and hope that we don't notice the program is about to sink into irrelevancy. |
There are a few that I know of. Just be forewarned, Adam is a straight salesman. He'll sat anything to keep people around. I'm sure it'll be how awesome it'll be when they have a private facility that one day they're going to build on some land they may or may not of acquired. Or how he's bringing in even better coaches, working on community events, has a better curriculum, blah blah... |
