Now that you've received your last-chance wake-up call, you better get your act together and take what I'm saying seriously. You can keep trying to deny it, or you can do something about it.

Most Americans are seeing two candidates that they don't want. You're losing the center by catering to the extremes.

By now you should realize that Biden needs to step down? Make sure it's a strong candidate known as an advocate for strong Border Security and immigration.
Better yet, a Republican (or former Republican) willing to work with Democrats known as honest and a centrist

Fire the coo-coo Democrats who are too far Left. Stay centrist as the party of Unity, but make it known that the few shall not impose their will on the many.

Stay strong on Ukraine, vague on Israel/Palestine and Taiwan/China for now and you'll be fine.

If not, my crystal ball says November will lose more than an election - you'll lose the Country.

I’m a moderate who fully agreed with you throughout this thread and for context, I remember saying something similar in June 2016 and received the same responses you are now back then. I was reliably told by fellow Democrats that I was an idiot for thinking Trump even had a chance.

Look, I think you are going to be unfortunately but absolutely right. If things continue the way they are, there is going to be a massive win for the Republicans. Here is what I think the Democrats need to do, and quickly:

- Find a moderate. Whitmer maybe. Not Newsom under any circumstances. Get Biden to gracefully retire.
- Get rid of every progressive campaign advisor. They are toxic and destructive.
- Don’t engage with the morons camping out and rooting for Hamas. Just ignore. Nobody likes them.
- Be honest about inflation. Stop pretending it’s not happening. Get a solid plan to work on it.
- Back out the ridiculous Title IX changes and take a strong stance on protecting the safety of biological women and girls in sports.
- Come up with a solid border plan. Don’t apologize for calling the killer of Laken Riley an illegal. Ignore the screaming progressives, the border is a major issue for a lot of voters. Don’t pretend it’s not an issue.
- Continue with student loan relief but take it down a notch because it angers a lot of voters. It’s not wrong but no need to highlight it so much, it’s not winning voters anyhow.
- Stay strong on Ukraine, highlight stuff like the CHIPS Act with respect to China.
- Hammer home abortion rights but don’t be crazy about it.

Basically get a reasoned moderate in place who isn’t a progressive loon, let Biden gracefully exit, and maybe there is a chance. Otherwise, no. It will be Trump again and by a landslide.

"Maybe" there is a chance if Biden were replaced by a normal moderate candidate?? Maybe? The opponent is a very, very easily beatable POTUS candidate. We don't need a superman to beat Trump. We just need someone who would be an average POTUS candidate at any other time in our history before Trump and Biden lowered the bar to the floor.

1. Please name one single Democrat who’s speaking out against your administration’s open border policy.
2. Why are the primary invaders military aged men?

Henry Cuellar (D-TX). And then suddenly legal problems from the feds started to drop on him from out of the sky. Funny how that happens.

Oh great-the future of the Democratic party is...a worse version of the Republican Party. Get rid of the progressives cause f*ck the people who actually stir up a little youth vote, we hate anyone under 60 in this party. Then, do a little of the anti-trans things, hell get rid of Gay marriage who really needs it! And even better, BUILD A WALL! Then, be quiet about any actual progressive work because shh, people can't know that you are trying to improve the country silly. And then be LOUD about being a warhawk. Wow, the Democrats have really shat themselves at having any audacity or power, instead we are just following the Republicans 5 years late, so we can barely keep in touch with moderates who are lukewarm voters, supports, donors, etc. Abandon those idiot young people who are progressive, what do they know those "bad Palestinians"? What a joke.

And you are why we will have Trump as president for one more term.

I’m sorry, OP. You tried. People like the PP are hopeless and will sink the entire Democratic Party.

1. Guessing you haven't watched any TV lately? Or maybe visited a Texas border town?
2. You think Mr. Geritol can handle WWIII?

Both Trump and Biden are bad for America. But do fiddle as Rome burns.

2. Instead of having Biden mentor a viable candidate, you pushed the Biden and Harris ticket.

4. A Dem/Rep bi-partisan ticket would've sent a message. Now you're just the other half of the polarized post-Trump World. If you want to move past a bi-polar world into unity, you need to walk the walk.

Trump is a liar, thief, fraud and compromised traitor (with small hands), but this, above, is a good idea. Adam Kinzinger maybe.

All true but enough Americans will decide he’s a better choice than the candidate the Dem’s have put forth.

Honestly, even right now - in this special hell we are traveling through - I'd rather be us than you, going into this election.

Just think how easy this would be for Rs right now if you'd nominated anyone but Trump. (Or possibly DeMeatball.)

An absolutely dismal moment in American democracy. But I'm much more pissed at Democrats for putting the country in this position.

We must dissolve the RNC and DNC and we must reduce the influence of money in politics or else this can is just kicked down the road. How we go about doing these things I have no clue.

Big change starts with states. You take baby steps to limit the influence of big money in state politics with new legislation, constitutional amendments, etc. Federal law will eventually follow. Maybe.

It will take decades.
