When the Dems Lose 2024...

Anonymous
As you wring you hands, soul-searching why the Democrats lost this Presidential election, I hope you come back to read this post.

1. Imperial Hubris. You didn't read the signs along the road. You're so full of yourselves, you just assumed that the average American loves Democrats. No, the average American loves America.

2. Instead of having Biden mentor a viable candidate, you pushed the Biden and Harris ticket.

"At one point, Biden grabbed the hand mic and started walking. He moved toward the side of the stage where one of the five chosen reporters was standing, but it briefly gave the appearance he was abandoning the press conference."

3. ActBlue pissed off your base.

4. A Dem/Rep bi-partisan ticket would've sent a message. Now you're just the other half of the polarized post-Trump World. If you want to move past a bi-polar world into unity, you need to walk the walk.

The real reason will be that millions of people will knowingly vote for a criminal. Probably not half, but there's the electoral college.

The Dems only have one real chance of winning

That’s if enough old white people have died from 2020 to 2024

Trump’s voter base suffers from a pretty terrible death rate and isn’t being replenished

Actuarial tables matter and they spell huge headwinds for trump

I actually thought Kamala Harris WAS a viable contender for the presidency. But she really fizzled as VP.
If Biden declined to run--and he can still pull out--we've got Gavin Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer, etc. and a whole year to run while Trump is killing the chances of decent Republicans and, I hope, headed to jail.

I predict this thread will not age well. The question is whether OP and their ilk will accept reality or stage a repeat of Jan 6.

When did a President drop their vp and run with a new one?

Trump is a liar, thief, fraud and compromised traitor (with small hands), but this, above, is a good idea. Adam Kinzinger maybe.

And if we get rid of all the female voters.

Give it up OP. Joe Biden has been, and will continue to be a good President. The country is better off. The Democratic Party is strong. We are united, we understand the threat, we will crush MAGA. Dobbs and Jan 6 made sure of that.

given that most people don't want the world to end, if Trump wins, think of it as: the D party was so repellent that it convinced millions upon millions of average people that their best chance for a successful, free life was to vote for Donald F'ing Trump

don't blame the victims

When that VP pretends to be “border czar” and sits quietly as she watches anyone who wants to — parade into our country — terrorists and all.

Oh wait! It’s the Democrat platform.

OP is delusional. 2024 will be a great year for Democrats.

Most Americans don’t see how open borders are so great.
