No. This is why it's such a special year for the Bruins. There is great history with the LB program in that it was one of the first in Fairfax, and had a dedicated coach for decades.
However this week was only their second district championship.

They have zero regional or state championships.

They had some close losses and wins in the regular season. If you watched the game at Robinson, they were different. The playoffs are different level and they rose to the occasion. Not trying to sound like Madison and others are not good teams. They are, but I see only Yorktown matching up with them at all this year. Looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds.

LB blew a huge lead against the Warhawks in regular season. They had a brutal stretch of games, with little res,t against Oakton. Playoffs is different and Bruins are looking very motivated and strong.

I don't think anyone is doubting they are good. They have been top-4 all season and #2 for a awhile. Most people agree they have the best top-end talent and they are one of the best teams in state, they just aren't CLEARLY the best team in the state. There are still 4-5 teams that can win it all and that is what should make the playoffs fun this year.

They have never won a district championship until 2 days ago. They won a regional championship in 1990, never won states.

I'm confused. How did Fairfax (Patriot 8th) play TJHSST (National 4th) and Alexandria City (Patriot 7th) play Lewis (National 7th) last night? Doesn't match the VHSL bracket that is posted.

Generally agree with this, but my money is on Langley and Lake Braddock both getting close wins in the rematch games.

I think the McLean-Langley game will be lower scoring than predicted. Mclean looked sluggish against Marshall...hopefully they knocked off some rust as Langley is playing HOT right now

McLean was in control the entire game…offense looked a tad sloppy but defense was great and Langley was never a threat. McLean needs to tighten things up before Tuesday night though if they want any chance for an upset against Yorktown.
