Political Discussion
| Trump inherited a great economy and crashed it. Under Biden, we have a rapid recovery. |
| Things are settling down. Americans are rallying around Biden. |
No. They are not "rallying around Biden." They are working around Biden. Big difference. |
We'll have to agree to disagree. Stop putting two spaces between sentences, BTW. |
Actually Trump inherited a stagnant economy and eight years of lackluster GDP growth and high unemployment. Trump turned things around and even during a pandemic managed to keep the economy on track. Fact is under Trump: Low fuel costs Low energy cost Low cost of commodities No wars Under Biden: Skyrocketing fuel costs Skyrocketing energy costs Skyrocketing good prices Skyrocketing inflation Russian invades Ukraine Iran attacks US embassy with rockets OPEC dumbs US China makes moves to trade oil with Yuan instead of petro-dollar No answer ti Russian cyber-attacks. It’s about the economy stupid as Carville said in the past. While costal elites buy Tesla’s and the white house appeals to TikTok “stars” to get people to secure more propaganda for their failed policies, most Americans are suffering and wondering if they should fill their gas tanks or out food on the table. If they complain they’re told to suck it up for a country thousands of miles away that no one cares about who honestly has a Nazi problem. Or their called Russian bots as that’s the new defacto “insult” now. But the coastal elites are like the people of district 1 on the hunger games; they look down on the very people who supply them with the food and goods they use every day. While those people suffer they elected ramble on about “it’s worth it”. What a joke |
You are a slave to Russian propaganda. If that has been said to you repeatedly by different people then maybe it’s a you thing. |

We had two decades of deflationary fears. Inflation is good, compared to that. The talking economists have the attention span and memory of gnats. You and I can do better than that. We can remember more than a day or a month. We can remember years, decades, longer. |
If you look at the 10 and 20 year charts, you will see how silly you sound when you make such a statement. He inherited what Obama left, which was a slowly growing economy after the devstation W left. The GOP took that economy and added massive unneeded debt and deficit spending and then left it in the trash heap for the Biden administration to fix. Yes, there are issues with inflation, but the economy is booming and inflation is a result of it. As to the rest of your cut and past, people have already discredited your false assertions. |
I agree, it's been nothing but a runaway train, and it's only getting worse. We are constantly threatened now, insane inflation, devaluation of our savings, rising costs for all the basic necessities, and now we add nuclear war threat to this and our president is talking about cyber attacks. I don't know who in their right mind thinks what we have now is awesome and that our future is bright. And tons of people aren't as glassy eyed about this horrible war in Ukraine, many are questioning and for all the good reasons. |
| So grateful to have Biden in charge with all of this uncertainty. |
And here goes the obligatory standard edition dismissal: if you disagree you are a subject to Russian propaganda
|
PP isn't accused of being subject to Russian propaganda because someone disagrees with them. PP is accused of being subject to Russian propaganda because they're not dealing in facts, only lies and rhetorical sleights of hand. |
