Dog owners, why do you do this?

+1. What is wrong with these people? How do you not understand that leaving bags of poop lying around is a gross thing to do? Don’t want to carry dog poop bags for 20 minutes? Don’t have a dog.

If it is hidden, why does it matter to you? You do realize that if you walking on a trail you are walking on animal excrement, not simply walking by it. I'm sure you lunatics would also complain if you walk by dog owners in a narrow trail and get a whiff of the dog poop being carried in the bag.

Yeah I feel like I'd just lurk until I saw them. Then I'd take a pic. I fear bad dog owner behavior will continue b/c everyone got a pandemic pup.

Ugh, gross. Just take it with you to the nearest trash can. What is so hard about that??

People don’t want poop bags in their private trash bins either…

This. Nearest public trash bin.

Do you have public trash bins in your neighborhoods? In your parks? Many do not.

People forget.

Just take and carry the dog poop bag with you. Don't get an animal if you don't want to do the work.

There is fing forgetting if you don’t illegally dump it in the first place “dropping” it on someone’s yard to pickup later. WTH, bag it and carry it away right way.

Then carry it the whole Fing time. That’s the deal with dogs.

Why would you drop it - serious question? Why bother bagging it in the first place then?

DP- many poop bag holders have a clip where you hang the bag. It can sometimes slip off with out you knowing. Happened to me before and I had to walk back to find it. No one wants to be Nextdoor shamed 🤣. Mistakes can happen. No one is tossing them on purpose unless they are whacked.

The pay attention. I’m sure you carry your keys and wallet and manage to not lose those.

It's amazing how many perfect human beings occupy DCUMland.

I live in an apartment and someone keeps putting their dog poop bags in the lobby trash can. The door to the trash room (where all the trash chutes lead to) is maybe 15 yards away from that can, but they’re too lazy to walk over there. It’s disgusting.

IF i saw someone drop a poop bag, I would just pick it up and run after them and give ti to them telling them they dropped something.

I'm sure it would be appreciated. Most dog owners try hard to be considerate. If I see dog poop the hasn't been cleaned up in an area where my dogs are pooping, I pick that up too.

Oh no, you don't generalize at all, do you?

passive agressue route here

OP. figure out who it is.

and then take a big steaming crap (human) in a plastic baggie and leave it on their doorstep.

every time they leave a baggie on your yard, you leave one on theirs. if it continues, then you return their bag along with one of your own.

maybe they'll figure it out. Maybe you'll need to put a note to help them...

find a dog park and collect about a dozen bags. and drop them off.

If you lose your keys more than once while going for a walk, you shouldn't be caring for a dog.

I love all the people trying to defend the poop dropper with "they just forgot to come back and get it" like OP didn't see it happen multiple times.

I'll tell you exactly what happened: someone's dog has a regular poop spot near OP's house and they only pick it up if they see someone watching them, then they immediately drop it on OP's property because they had no intention of picking it up in the first place and certainly no intention of carrying it to a trash can.
