Usually about an hour away. I don’t put it in peoples yards. |
| Our neighborhood park has a couple of grills. Someone has taken to depositing their little bags on top of the cooking grate of one of the grills. 🤮 |
| OP here. It’s the exact same type of blue bag each time, dropped next to the previous one. They’re definitely not coming back for it. I’ve seen people come back for bags on the trail I run on, and I have opinions about that, too. But this is just beyond rude and lazy. |
DP- many poop bag holders have a clip where you hang the bag. It can sometimes slip off with out you knowing. Happened to me before and I had to walk back to find it. No one wants to be Nextdoor shamed 🤣. Mistakes can happen. No one is tossing them on purpose unless they are whacked. |
Because people forget. And even if you leave it, it's litter. What's so difficult about carrying your dog's waste when it leaves it? |
Wait- you leave it on purpose so you don’t have to carry it for an hour? Fellow dog owner here - that is rude and disgusting. |
| Did you see the pooping and bagging process or did the poop get carried from somewhere else? The only logical explanation I can think of for the little pile is that some righteous soul thinks those are *your* bags that you have been leaving around the neighborhood and they are returning them to your yard. They are wrong, obviously, but think they are right. Maybe? Otherwise this makes no sense. It's less gross to just leave the poop to decompose. |
+1. Carry it. It’s your dog and therefore your waste. Do you leave other trash lying around? Or just the poop? |
|
I saw someone do this in the bushes in front of a synagogue. I asked them why they did it, with an innocent happy voice. They picked it back up.
I walk my dog and bag the poop and carry it. And it's unpleasant. I feel guilty putting it in a community (park) trash can because I'm sure it smells. Even bagged. But there is a dog baggie station right next to it, so I assume the neighborhood is trying to encourage exactly that. I would die a thousand deaths before leaving it on the ground somewhere, certainly not in front of someone's house. I think I'd wait and confront them, myself. That would be so infuriating. |
| I don't do this. How rude! I pick up after my dog and drop off the bag at designated dog poop stations. If there isn't one, I carry it back home and put it in my trash. |
I’d figure out when they come and be sitting there and ask them what’s the point? I’d also point to my ring camera to say, your deposits have been recorded. |
| That's obnoxious. Obviously, someone is doing this on purpose. Leave a sign there that says to stop leaving poopy bags there. And first throw away the old ones. |
Same. I’d park my ass in a chair outside and just wait for them. |
| Take a pic and shame them on the neighborhood listserve. |
Most dog owners do not do this. So stop generalizing. Leave a note on the pile. Get a camera. Call them out. Report them. What else can you do? |
