DH driving DD 6+ hours each way by himself

My husband drove to Charleston or HHI and back in less than 24 hours several times during the pandemic.

When we first got married he would commute back and forth to Brooklyn, NY 2-3 days a week.

what's the big deal? DS has adhd and was wise enough to not want to drive until he was 21. NBD

Um, pre-Covid I did that sort of drive all the time. That is literally no big deal. I think your concern is misplaced, op.

Really? Are you yourself incapable of driving 6 hours in one day and then 6 hours 3 days later?
I have never heard of such pansy assin and incompetence!

If OP has this kind of anxiety regarding the college visit trip, she’s in for a rude awakening regarding the anxiety of DD leaving the nest and going off to college. That sh*t is real.

Sadly, unlikely it is a joke. They have a dd that could have a DL, meaning a grown person almost? So not, 19-year-olds either.

What is OP incapable of doing if she thinks her DH can't do this? I mean I can't imagine such frailty!

Are you a stepmonster? And your DH is 78 and his DD is 40?
So, he is too frail to drive? ANd you are pissed that he might spend some time with his DD?

Is your husband a tiny baby? Six hours is nothing.

Get ready to have your mind blown, op! I just drove from NYC to Ottawa, Canada in one day. Not even joking. The day before, I drove from Syracuse to NYC. Yes, one day I drove to NYC and then to Canada the next day.
And I went to work the next day. And I am 50!

Good God, I’ve been doing stuff like that since I was 17. OP is insane.

One day a couple of years ago I realized the kids had a 2 week break from everything in their schedule. Popped them in the car and drove to California. I was the only driver! We lived!

It would be no big deal for Dh, many of our friends, and me. I suppose if your DH has driving issues that would be different. Honestly you just sound a bit anxious and tightly wound.

My 78 yo father does 12 hour drives! Regularly!

Unsurprising the kind of mom who doesn’t push their kid to get a license would ask this kind of question.

Maybe the weirdest question on DCUM ever.
