This is on WF for being disgusting and having a hot bar accessible to the public during a pandemic.

If you think hot bars have ever been places to find sanitary food, I have news for you. If you think it's just teens who are disgusting at hot bars, I have additional news. There's just lots of news out there for you. It is fun to become informed!

Bet they close it on weekdays from 3 to 5 for "daily cleaning" soon.

If you've lived in the neighborhood for any appreciable amount of time yet are still surprised/horrified that Wilson kids act like jagoffs when they get out of school, I don't know what to tell you. The school admins/DCPS don't give AF and never have, unless something ultra-criminal happens. Then they pretend to care for a week or two and then stop caring again.

What are you expecting the school administrators to do about kids behavior outside of school?

Also saw the famous Wilson after school behavior on display again after so long (the bad, not the good which I'm sure exists). The standing in the cross walks out of light sequence, and the eating straight out of the Whole Foods prepared hot food cart without paying (or paying attention to Covid sanitation or posted protocol). Kids being kids or kids being twits?

I've long seen DCPS kids blamed and tagged as hooligans and thugs for doing basic, kids being kids stuff. I view it as a sign of progress that all OP can find to complain about are Wilson kids jaywalking, and not using good matters when eating.

In contrast, according to the DCUM boards, there was a massive brawl at Churchill in MoCo. I'm glad my kid is going to school with occasional jaywalkers at Wilson instead of being involved in dangerous gang fights at Churchill.

And apparently even that fight was blown out of proportion.

3 years ago a group of Wilson kids untied my elderly dog from a pole outside the Whole Foods in Tenleytown. I was inside with my new baby, gone less than 5 minutes. When we came outside, we found an MPD officer and a Whole Foods employee coaxing him out of the street on friggin Wisconsin Avenue, where they’d apparently chased him into traffic on purpose. They saved him but the kids ran away laughing. He was just a dog, I know, but my personal experiences with the Wilson kids in Tenley over the years have ranged from mildly annoying to outright dangerous…and even in the best of circumstances in a school filled with honor students who play the tuba, “rapid release” especially of that many kids in that age group is so so stupid.

Georgetown Day School gets out at the same time..., might have been kiddos from that school too so stop making assumptions!

This is not how most teenagers act. It’s how too many teenagers attending Wilson HS act. Two very different things.

The cops should have written a ticket/citation to you for animal cruelty. Who ties their dog to a pole in the middle of a busy city street? Leave the poor thing home!

Putting that aside, yeah, they are teenagers. They are loud and rowdy. But the neighbors in Tenley have a longstanding rep of being racist NIMBYs - the reason Wisconsin Ave looks like shit is because they fight to the death any new development or construction. If they want peace and tranquility and none of "those kids" - MOVE TO THE SUBURBS.

Exactly! Those spoiled rich kids smoke just as much weed as Wilson students - and Wilson students STILL get into better colleges!

You are generalizing Wilson student behavior. There are also responsible kiddos at Wilson.
I agree that stealing is wrong but as adults it is equally wrong to refer to "the famous Wilson after school behavior" in a generalized manner.
