When is the Delta variant supposed to hit?

I had fever for 13 long days. Never heard of the flu causing two weeks of high fever. Does it take three months to recover from the flu. It took me almost that long to recover from COVID.

My case was considered “mild”. I am 52 years old. No other medical conditions. A marathon runner. Yoga teacher. Personal trainer. I’m in fantastic shape. COVID was nothing like the flu for me.

And for every one of you stories there are stories of people with mild cases.

A small fraction of those with symptoms will need hospitalization. Some will die. Some with or without symptoms during the initial infection will experience an odd array of symptoms for 6+ months. So totally, for every one horrendous mild case, there are several stories of mild mild cases. This s**t still ain't the flu, bro.

That's great that your family member's Crohn's was mild enough that just stopping the meds was an option. My kid stopped his immunosuppressants and ended up spending 4 months in PICU, and never got off oxygen afterwards. People on chemo, which suppresses the immune system, can die from stopping, as can people with transplants.

I'm the PP who is immunocompromised with no antibodies and just wanted to wish your child well. I'm so sorry they ended up in the PICU for so long, that must have been so difficult.

I'm the PP. I did speak at length to the oncologist and he advised not going off chemo. He said in the patients who had and were vaccinated, they were not showing antibodies after spike protein tests so not worth the risk.

I got my flu shot this year as I do every year and just hoped for the best. With everyone masking all winter flu seemed to be much less of an issue.

I don't have agoraphobia, not sure where you got that, just stated that I was scared and concerned. I still go out.

I nearly died of sepsis during a medical crisis (post open infection) due to the incredibly long wait times at our emergency room, which was full of covid patients. Was seen in a hallway sitting in a folding chair. Throwing up into a bag. It was nightmarish and I don't wish it upon anyone.

I'm sick. Our clinic refused to test me because I was vaccinated. So, we will not have accurate numbers. I have many of the symptoms.

The same happened to my husband. At Cvs the nurse actually asked him why he was there getting tested if he had already been vaccinated. 😤
