Glad to hear your coaching is great and works for your kid. Have heard the opposite experience from parents on the girls side who have scattered away from BRYC over the course of the last year.

If your kid is a standout and has played in the DMV area for 3 years or more, the coaches know who your kid's ability because they've seen it on the field in games, clinics, summer leagues, winter futsal programs, etc. Bethesda is not the only team to offer a kid without a formal tryout, and this kid is not the only kid to receive such an offer. I'm sorry you have no idea how that works. It shows that your kid is not on the radar. But, more importantly, hope your kid focuses on having fun and learning life lessons through the game.

The club is really confusing they way it is divided. It almost helps hide the blame BW should take for ruining the club.
