popular vs. unpopular continues into motherhood

BWHAHAHAHHAHAHA! Whatever. Keep guessing, hater. You are one of the unbearable. There are a lot of people NOT from here, just so you know. You might want to come out of your rock sometime. Do you still think the South won that awful Civil War? Or do you still call it the War of Northern Aggression? Do you keep Slaves in your basement? Or do you limit it to spitefully driving 10 MPH in the left lane of the beltway? Why are Southerners so ignorant, anyway? Do tell why they hate so much and are so angry. We are dying to know. Oh wait, I think we already know. Good luck, you'll need it.

It's all clear to me now...multiple personalities. Or delusions of grandeur, what with the use of the Royal We.

"We" would be those of us not from here. Although you keep kidding yourself into thinking there is only one, PP. Then convince yourself you have a brain. That would be more amusing.

Who cAres?! My best mom friend is gorgeous---6ft tall, tan and blond. In redibly fashionable--always turned out. She has a girl. I have 2 boys. I dress much more casuAlly--pumas sneakers or flip flops. Neither of us care. We both love red wine and have a great sense of humor. Never bought into the cliques....floated seamlessly in and out.

Probably not. If you believe messages are from trolls or sock puppets, please use the "report" button to let me know about it rather than unnecessarily disrupting a thread.
Jeff, most of the time I agree with you but I gotta call you on your attitude here-you just wrote a blog about how another talented sock puppeteer has invaded the hallowed halls of DCUM. You pointed out a of couple of examples, but how do we know which is which? We are not privy to IP addresses like you are. You really think I'm going to hit the report button (which I thought was for spam) every time I suspect a post not to be genuine? I'd need a third index finger. Would it be more reasonable for you to alert us everytime a thread is being sockpuppeted? What about when something is simply made up? I just don't think it's fair in this current atmosphere to accuse someone of suggesting someone else is a sock puppet as "unnecessarily disrupting a thread". I guess I'm just confused here-who are the disrupters-the sock puppets themselves or the ones accusing them without all the knowledge you have?

This question belongs in Website Feedback rather than a thread that is not discussing sock puppets.

I am not from DC. You seem to think you're speaking for some vast and apparently homogenous group of "people not from DC". Your opinions are your own. Try owning them instead of seeking shelter in your imagined crowd.

Jeff, you are being disingenuous here. Kind of like calling out an argument because of poor spelling as opposed to addressing the real issue. Light a fire if you want, you're the boss, but don't get pissy when Smokey the Bear shows up-this is an anonymous forum after all. For everyone but you.

PS and no sock puppeting here, but I'm the culprit in terms of you showing it all photographically-if you're having a bad day, just say so. If I had a dime for everytime I put my foot in my mouth, well......... (but this isn't one of those times). I'm sending you a dime right now.

Look, if you want to have this discussion here, we will have this discussion here. I am sure that most readers of this thread couldn't care less. But, thanks to you, they get to enjoy our discussion regardless of their desires.

First of all, it is impossible to call a person a sock puppet after a single post. By definition, to sock puppet requires multiple posts. If you think that someone is sock puppeting, you are entirely free to ignore the messages. No law of man or nature forces you to respond. But, if for some reason you lack impulse control and are unable to prevent yourself from responding, it takes no more effort to use the "report" button than it does to use the "reply" button. It's the same effort. But, you know what the difference is? If you are wrong, your accusation that a poster is a sock puppet changes the discussion from the original topic to whether the poster is a sock puppet. Routinely doing that causes more disruption than the sock puppet do. It's the same thing that happened with everyone asking if someone was Amy and it's why I repeatedly asked people to stop doing that.

On the other hand, if you report possible sock puppets to me, I can look into it. I can't always tell, but I have a much better chance of an accurate evaluation then you do.

Further discussion of this topic can take place privately or in the proper forum. Additional off-topic messages in this thread will be summarily removed.
